The early years of my life were very productive, spent learning how to drool, grasp, cry, and eventually to crawl, toddle, and even walk.
After that, I managed to muck around a bit, not really getting anywhere for the next forty years or so, at which point I realized that I had to either WRITE or to slowly die.
I have very few areas of expertise, few areas where I have spend consistent years of hard study and diligent reading, and sex just happens to be one of those areas.
Ergo, I write erotica.
I hope that it will soon be as profitable as it is fun.
If you like my work, spread the word!

Here's the long answer...
I like to stand out from the crowd a bit, because it's hard for an independent author to garner any attention unless he/she has an advertising budget, unless they can get people talking about stuff.
People like to talk about weird stuff, so it can pay to write it.
Also, I like the particular challenge of taking a strange sub-genre like Dinosaur Erotica, and giving myself the task of writing a truly good story within that genre. I like trying to make the absurd arousing, because it pushes me to develop my craft.
If I can make people get aroused reading about a woman and a scarecrow, for example, then the next time I write a more mundane sex scene it'll be all the easier.
Also, it broadens my talents. One of the nice things about writing erotica is that it can cross over with any number of other genres. By writing erotica, I can also write fantasy, science fiction, romance, horror, or any number of other things. If I ever decide to write non-erotic fiction, then I'll have already accumulated experience writing about a wide variety of characters, settings, and situations that easily translate into non-erotic stories.

Not all of my stuff is strange, though. "An Innocent Haircut" is a perfectly normal story about a young man who gets seduced by his female barber. "A Magician's New Box" is a bondage story, but there's nothing supernatural or inhuman about it, so that's pretty normal as well.
In my new anthology, "A Taste of Bacula," I've included two other relatively normal stories (along with my other works):
"Ferrari Snow Day," which is just about two college students taking advantage of a day off from school
"The Sneaky Snowplow," which is about a woman getting secretly seduced by her two best friends. I guess that's a bit weird, but it's not "dinosaur" weird.

Thank you for your question, and if you want to know anything else, just ask!(less)

The Nature and Nurture of Pain

This is quite a few years ago, and I’m sitting in a car with girl. I was giving her a ride, but now we’re pulled over on the side of the road. It’s raining, and the windows are fogging over. The girl is thin, and so is the fabric of her dress. She has pale blonde hair, a pretty smile, and a pleasing frame. We’re talking about sex, and there is zero possibility of us having it with each other.
