What happened to the blue iguana?
A bead of sweat dripped down my cheek as I pressed the camera’s lens against my face. My immobile subject lay on a stone slab under the sun. For all of us here in British Columbia, the Kermode Bear (aka Spirit Bear) is a species both near and dear.
Characteristics
Resembling a Polar Bear or albino Black Bear upon first glance, the Spirit Bear is truly a one-of-a-kind bear species. It is found primarily in central and north central BC, with Princess Royal Island being the location with the highest number of Spirit Bears.
