Usually the block comes from some sort of internal and intellectualized issue I'm trying to resolve in regard to the writing. For instance, in the last few months, I've been wrestling with the idea of my blog audience--who is my audience? What demographic is reading the blog and what demographic do I want to be reading the blog? Audience changes everything about delivery, right?(less)

Dear Boy, by Heather Weber
"Dear Boy is an excellent memoir about the death of Heather Weber's brother, a young man with a family. The epistolary form is particularly interesting since Weber lets her story emerge from a series of letters written to each of the characters, inclu" Read more of this review »
Dear Boy, by Heather Weber
"I bought this memoir for the form--to see how the story was constructed in letters. I read it in a day for the tug it wrapped around my heart--for her brother, her impossible mother, and, finally for herself to forgive all of them. This book is full " Read more of this review »

“I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had no where else to go. My own wisdom and that of all about me seemed insufficient for that day.”
