Finishing college with a degree in English literature and three teaching certificates, it was inevitable that M. D. Mascaro would go to work in retail and sing in a rock band on the weekends. In other avatars she appeared in California and Nashville as an actress and songwriter until she (relatively) settled down to raise her son and teach art. Her wanderlust and creative spirit give her a rich well of experience to draw from in her writing.

M. D. Mascaro primarily writes YA fantasy but she enjoys crossing genres. Her recent endeavors are into women's fiction, romance with a comic twist.
