Review: My 9 year old boy couldn't put it down!

I'll be upfront and disclose that I am a friend of the authors. However, this is a review from a mother's point of view, and as parents know, your kids don't care who you know. They won't read it, if they don't enjoy it.

My nine-year-old son definitely read this. In about three days! He read this on the kindle app on the iPhone, and I had a hard time getting him to put it down and come to dinner, go to bed, or anything for that matter! He was hooked on this story till the end and asked immediately upon finishing if I could download the sequel. So I guess you'll need to get right on that Mr Tiffany!

My son loves non-fiction and I am hard pressed to get him to read any fiction. This was the right mixture of facts, adventure and story telling that engaged him from beginning to end. As a bonus, he has now watched several documentaries on submarines because of this book. In my opinion, the mark of any good book is when you want to learn more on the subject. Because my son is home-schooled, we will be using this book for his first book report of the year, thank you for creating such a fun adventure!

Interview at the Independent Author Network

Just wanted to pass along that my interview with the Independent Author Network has been published over at The Independent Author Network

As you might imagine, we discussed my latest action/adventure novel for Young Adults, "Submarine Warriors > The Enemy Beneath" at http://www.amazon.com/Submarine-Warri....

In the interview you'll discover:
• What inspired me to write the book
• How I approached the writing process
• How this this book different from others in the same genre like Hunger Games or Harry Potter
• That I'm currently working on the next book in the Submarine Warriors series
• How I learned so much about the inner workings of submarines
• How I ensured that the dialog in the novel had the right “voice” for young adult readers
• How long it took to write Submarine Warriors

As an added bonus, you'll also get to read a 1,000 word excerpt from the novel.

I really encourage you to go check it out.
