Gordon was born in Brisbane, Australia and grew up in Glasgow, Scotland. He studied English at Aberdeen University and taught English in secondary schools for over twenty years in Glasgow, Perth (Australia) and Clydebank before working as an adviser in education. He lives in the west end of Glasgow with his family. His interests include reading, music, politics and films. The locations in his writing will be familiar to Glaswegians. His debut novel, A Rendezvous with Death was published in August 2017. The sequel, The Deadly Shadows was published in November 2018. The third book in the series, Death of an Angel, was published in June 2020.

Just published my fourth book, Deception! Very pleased to have managed this despite having a lot of issues to deal with including serious family illness. Hopefully it will be well received and I'll get some positive feedback!

I enjoyed reading this debut book in the cosy crime genre and liked the idea of a dog-walking setup as I’m fond of dogs. Similar to the Thursday Murder Club in many ways, of course, even down to a seaside town so perhaps not greatly original though. ...more
