Book Updates!
Once again, I am terrible at remembering to update my Goodreads blog! At least I have more to update once I remember..
So, to begin I am super-excited to announce that an excerpt from my un-published novel, Ghost of the Past, was published by Z Publishing House in their anthology "America's Emerging Writer's: Suspense Authors." for 2019!
I am back writing and editing on Eternal Fate. I wrote this book back in 2016 and was intending to release it back in August of 2018, but due to a slow recovery after surgery I wasn't able to sit at my laptop long enough to finish editing in time. However, as I am writing this I am formatting it into Paperback! (Eek!) so I will officially have a release date fairly soon.
One last book update, I have finished writing the fourth novel in The Devils Curse Novels and un-edited the word count is over 82k words. I am so excited for the final count after editing!
So that's the updates I have for you guys as far as writing goes. Personally, I am doing well after surgery, officially 10 months post-op and finally recovering with Physical Therapy also, going back to work after almost 3 years of not being able to even consider trying to find a job..
If you're working through writing your first draft or your first novel, keep writing - don't stop and don't lose hope that you'll hit the finish line. I can't even explain how much just holding your finished work in your hands as a paperback makes it so worth it.

Prepping for NanoWriMo! AUTHORS READ THIS!
Can you believe we are almost half way through October already!?
Are you planning to attend Nanowrimo this November? Have you been on a writing hiatus or simply have that thing called "writers block"?
I am creating a week long writing challenge on my website to help us prep for Nano and get back into the habit of writing daily.
How does this work?
It's free, and all you have todo is follow my blog so you will receive your challenge every day starting on MONDAY, at 10a.m. and on Saturday you will be given a writing prompt to complete.
If over 15 people enjoy this activity I will continue it throughout Nanowrimo so we can all reach our word count and finish our books! So make sure if you like it at the end of the week and it helped you stay motivated LET ME KNOW! :)

"Devils Fall" Read and Review Submission
Are you a book blogger searching for new series by new authors? Are you a fan of Young Adult Fantasy series?
This novel is the first of five novels, three of these novels are already released on Amazon. I am searching for book bloggers (or Bookstagrammers – or both! 🙂 )who will read and write an honest, informative review for “Devils Fall.” – Preferably with no spoilers.
I will be choosing at least three reviews to be featured inside of the paperback version of my fourth novel release, “Devils Ascension.” This will feature your name and book blog information so that readers can easily find and follow your reviews and other bookish things you post about!

"Anxiety" - a Preview of "Corrupted Minds"
While we are waiting for that green light that says "LIVE" on Amazon, I wanted to share one of the poems from "Corrupted Minds"!
I wrote this poem about two months ago and had actually featured it on my blog "The Cursed Author." It received the most favorites I have ever had on my blog so I thought it deserved to be on the first page of my third chapbook..
Anxiety

Anxiety is a Monster.
It waits for me to sleep
It tries to devour me
With my memories
Every detail in my life
Like no decision is my own
Instead anxiety controls me.
I hope you will understand
How smiling won’t take my pain away.
It will only mask
What you don’t want to see.
Don’t worry,
I won’t ask you to have
Compassion for me.
The burden of my memories
Only makes you dislike me
I hope you understand
When I don’t look you in the eye
It’s me, not you.
I hope you understand
When I can’t speak the words that I think
Is because the words feel like
they will kill me.
The steps I take in the morning
Hurt worse than most days
I feel that there are
weights around my feet,
And a noose around my neck,
Waiting for me to step off of the block
Under my feet.
Constant worry fills me
That if I say the wrong words
My life will crumble before me.
Some days I conquer my fears,
Live what the quotes of others
Advise me to do to live
A “happy” life.
Then,
Days like today,
Nights like last night
Tell me,
I am not Okay.
