Instead, I really get entrenched with a character's experience and then will get feedback, an edit, or a comment from an editor and feel unsure how to proceed. I get very, very angry. I usually take a walk, do a little primal scream therapy, wash some dishes, clean the floor, then get back to work. I hate leaving a problem in my manuscript unsolved for longer than a few days, because the anger spills into other aspects of my life. However, sometimes the solution is not easy. Because I use scrivener, I'll move onto another issue and mark where the problem is. Often I find that moving, taking notes, making charts, really helps. Chocolate, avoidance and procrastination only exacerbate my form of writer's block!

Writers, readers=gosh they're the best darn people on earth. I like that when I'm with writers and readers who really believe in writers and the power of the written word I feel like I'm with "my people." It's like the perfect family reunion.
Another aspect I love about being a writer is letting my inner world come alive. I am always afraid of talking too much and boring people. But, with my writing I have so many chances to get what I want to say right, though the voice of a character or through non-fiction work. Those multiple chances at revision are both humbling and exciting. I love words and the puzzles involved in trying create the right rhythm for a character's speech, the way they perceive the world and their many obsessions.
I confess I also love creating new romances between characters that are unpredictable. In Eloia Born...you'll see something that came out without my planning and in Orphan Pods...there's yet another relationship that was completely unplanned. (less)
Thank you to everyone who has requested to read the kindle version of Eloia Born's Goodreads Giveaway. I've opened the amount of people being given a free copy of the kindle version to 100 (I don't seem to be able to update this on the posting for the giveaway).
As many readers are aware, reviews really help we new authors, such as myself, to get the word out about our books. Because I'm not publis
