This was a horror novella. It starts with Peter (who has problem with money and family). Peter was lured by a old time partner in crime for a new job. Work promised money. But, Peter agreed to do it because his friend’s son was lost during the surveillance (he liked the boy[young man] too). And from there on it’s all about plans gone wrong and existence falling into horror.
I think the story wasn’t bad, but I have a few complains about the storytelling. Lots of metaphors and long sentences we...

Review – Summer, Fireworks, and My Corpse
This small book surely took long to read. When I started this, I thought I would finish it in one go. But there were trouble. This book specially it’s translation work wasn’t good. At least for me that made most of the trouble.
Summer, Fireworks and My Corpse is a handy work of the Japanese author Otsuichi. I have always been fascinated by Japanese culture and media. That was the very reason I wanted to give this book a go. I thought after reading the synopsis, this will be a different sort o...

Review – Before I Go To Sleep
Close your eyes and think for once, you don’t have any memory of the past, not a single thing. You only have a partner to let you know the truth about life every single day, because when you sleep you forget everything, and you wake up anew. You can’t recognize him/her until you are reminded and still you doubt yourself. You want to trust that person, but have doubts at the same time. What would your make of your life? Would you want live as you are or would you want to know more about the pa...

Review – Iron Hearted Violet
Well, I won’t be heartless and give Iron Heart Violet any star less. A full 5 out of 5 it is.
Who am I to search for a flaw in such flawless storytelling? This story could go many places, but it kept being simple and to the point. It showed friendship, family bond, ruthless god, treachery, dragons, love, hope and many more. Written in a magical way this story became enhanced furthermore.
When all fairy tale stars with a beautiful princess, prosperous or in trouble kingdom and so on, this part...

Review – Heroes Haven [Graphics Novel]
I finished reading it a few days ago. This was a graphics novel, with very dark and gory story. Artwork matched the story, it was messy, fonts were here and there, panels were randomly distributed, but all worked towards making an unique style.
As for the story, it was familiar at places, I can’t go into details without giving spoilers, so I will keep my mouth shut. Story isn’t finished though, there is much to come! (At least in the copy I received for reviewing.)
At the beginning it can fee...

Story – There Goes November
This is the month of November, and figuring out what to do, I have wasted it. My life is taking stupid turns. I am just waiting for the best to happen, yet no response from destiny.
If you ask me, who I am? I shall response with the only answer expected. I am nobody. That’s what I have always been, that’s who I will ever be. I have passion, pain and life; then I have goals. Goals, that takes me away from decision. Goals that keeps me alive and goals that even tries to kill me. Every opportuni...

Not Always Books!!
Why so serious? – said Joker in some Batman movie! I don’t say the same thing, but I do agree, book post always at personal web site doesn’t look good! Of course it has values, but then where is the personal touch!
Just look at the cute minion cake. Isn’t it awesome! And this awesome thing is homemade.
Last year during my one of my goodfriend’s birthday his sister made this special cake. Surely it was awesome to eat, but looking at it was holding us from cutting it. Then stomach and senses to...
