Muskoka Ontario's Playground
Hello Readers-
I have just completed writing my third book so thought it about time to let people know what I have been up to. My genre is History, my setting the Muskoka Lakes Region of Central Ontario, Canada, and my topics range from resort life (my family's) to pioneer life to early sport and recreation. Roughly one book per each of the 3 topics.
I try to embed local stories in the historic context of what was occurring in Ontario and Canada at the time. The main focus is on what people in the area did to make a living from modest beginnings in the 1860's to the mid twentieth century. In my most recent book I lighten things up a bit with what settlers and tourists did for fun and recreation. Men and women who have distinguished themselves beyond the borders of this somewhat remote region have been highlighted. Thanks for reading this.
