So I've got some updates about In My Bed, Jenna and Nate's book :)

I've been writing away spending all of my free time with Jenna and Nate and their relationship is evolving beautifully. They are growing together and becoming closer and closer to that infinite fall into love. I love spending time in Jenna's head and watching her grow beyond the wam-bam-thank-you-sir type of relationships she's had in the past, but there's a slight problem I'm running into...

I knew there would be sparks between Jenna and Nate, but I didn't expect the fire to start so soon. Their connection is stronger than I thought and they started spending time together sooner than I expected. When I wrote On The Floor I thought they'd be able to hold for a little longer, but they're way too hot for each other.



So in light of all the sexual and emotional tension between Jenna and Nate, I decided to make a few changes to On The Floor. I have an editor for On The Floor and In My Bed and we'll be editing them back to back this summer. I'll be re-releasing On The Floor with a new cover and some changes to the story so the spark between Jenna and Nate can explode on the pages-- little pun intended-- sooner than I initially expected.

I'll have both covers and some teasers coming this summer so stay tuned!

I'm really excited about both books, and the fact that you'll be introduced to Toby and Brian's future-- and maybe past ;)-- love interests when you read In My Bed!!!

Anyway, I should get back to writing. That spark between Jenna and Nate is about to catch fire ;)

“Okay, who is going to sing with me?” I ask. Everyone looks at each other. This is a room full of musicians, but nobody wants to sing?
“I’ll do it,” Jake says smiling at me. We pull the lyrics up on his phone and sit next to each other on the bench. I know most of the lyrics, but, you know, just in case.

Excerpt from On the Floor

He lowers his head and his mouth is dangerously close to my neck. I feel his hot breath on me. My smile fades as my lips part slightly, my heart races, and my breathing speeds. His hands slowly move from my hips down onto my upper thighs as pulls me even closer to him. In one movement I lean my head back onto his chest closing my eyes and reach my arms up around his neck behind me. As I move against him, I can feel his erection hardening in his jeans and I moan.

I actually moan.

It’s loud in here, so I hope he couldn’t hear me.

But maybe if he did he would finally touch his lips to my neck. They are so close to touching me and I can feel his breath on my sensitive skin like fire. Right when I feel like he will finally ravage me like my body wants, he slowly slides his hands up my sides and arms, grabs my hands and turns me around so I am facing him. I am panting.

Better than gaping.

He places my arms back around his neck. Our eyes lock on each other and his hands start that slow sensual journey back down my body. They slide down my arms, glide over the sides of my ribs, and finally land at my hips where he grips and pulls me flush to his body. His erection is pressing into my stomach and his gaze hasn’t left mine since he turned me around. His eyes are on fire. They are dark and smoldering and I know my eyes are reflecting the same want and need that his are.

His breathing is just as fast and shallow as mine. I know he wants me. And I want him. I have never had this kind of reaction to a man before. Not even while I am sleeping with him. Before I can decide what I want to do about it, the song ends and he makes the decision for me.

He touches his forehead to mine and closes his eyes. He quickly pulls away and looks back into my eyes.

In a deep, rough voice he smiles and says, “Best dance of my life. Thank you Rachel."
