Greg Finke

Greg Finke had been ordained since 1989, spending the last ten years of his pastoral ministry pastoring churches with a 1000 or more in worship. In January 2011 he realized he couldn’t remain a senior pastor and do what Jesus was calling Him to do. His ministry, Dwelling 1:14, is one of the results of that. Greg and his wife Susan are neighborhood missionaries in a subdivision in League City, Texas.

Greg Finke isn't a Goodreads Author (yet), but they do have a blog, so here are some recent posts imported from their feed.

LOL!

Unfortunately, that description of the Athenians reminded me of what happens when “missional” Lutheran leaders get together these days.

“Could Big Larry be a person of peace? Absolutely. If Jesus could work in the lives of tax collectors and sinners in the Gospels, why not in the lives of the neighborhood dealers?”

“We are careful not to pull out our Jesus-hoses. Instead we seek to offer a cool-cup-of-water of Jesus.”
Greg Finke, Joining Jesus on His Mission: How to Be an Everyday Missionary

“We’re not on mission for Jesus but with Jesus!”
