Wait until you see these best and unique Indie decks! But first, some of you might wonder why they cost more money than the ones sold at the store. Let me explain this.

Many of the mainstream decks sold online and at stores are from US Games Systems, Llewellyn Worldwide, Hay House (now a division of Penguin Random House), and other major companies. These companies can order thousands upon thousands of decks for around $6.00 each from printers in China or other countries, and they have the storage for them. Then these companies can sell them to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, metaphysical stores, and more for $10.00 to $15.00. The realtors sell them to their customers for $24.95 or more depending upon the size of the deck.

Now, the average indie deck creator rarely has the money, storage, retail connections, or gigantic customer lists like Amazon and other stores. They either order on-demand-printing (one at a time) or possibly a hundred or more decks at a time for a much higher price than if they ordered by the thousands.

This is why many indies use Kickstarter to help fund their decks. And even with fundraising, their decks are usually more than retail stores.

I hope you now understand why they’re a higher price. Please remember that instead of millions of people owning the same deck, indie decks are rarely owned by a thousand people. Thus, making them more special.

My collection of decks is a mixture of Lenormand, oracle, rune, and tarot decks. Many are mainstream, but I do own indie decks too.

I met Thorn T. Coyle in a Kickstarter Facebook group. Thorn is a warm, friendly, and very helpful human being. When I saw this unique deck on a post in the group, I wrote a comment saying I had the want-wants.

Obviously, I was one of the backers. What is amazing about this deck is how accurate the message is each time I use it!

Merlin’s Purrfect Lenormand

Yuppers, one of mine is on the list for the four best and unique indie decks. I love, love, love this deck because it features my soulmate cat, Merlin. It broke my heart when he passed on February 6, 2021.

To celebrate his life, I created this deck while studying to become a certified Lenormand reader.

I made each card from a photo of Merlin and an image for the card’s meaning. For example, a picture of birds with Merlin on the Bird card. These cards are poker-sized because I wanted to make it easier for those who do the grand tableau spread, which uses all thirty-six cards.

Crystal Magic

Crystal magic is one of the oldest forms of magic, often used in healing and spiritual practices. The Ancient Egyptians wore crystals in jewellery for protection and good health, the Ancient Sumerians used them in magic practices, and witches, cunning folk and healers used them in the Middle Ages for healing and charms. The Ancient Irish used quartz for protection against evil fairies that brought illness, bad luck or death, and farmers tied quartz crystals around their cows’ necks to protect them from these fairies.

In today’s world, besides more scientifically acceptable uses, such as in watches, ultrasound, radios, microphones, heaters and so on, many people still use crystals for good luck, healing, meditation, manifestation, protection from negative energy or for spell work, etc. They are also still used in talismans and amulets, as well as for scrying. Many (including me) believe that your thoughts and intentions are energy, and that crystals can be used to channel that energy.

The belief is that crystals interact with our energy fields – or chakras – and can thus be used for spiritual, mental and physical healing. Different crystals have different chemical structures – hence, their energies are naturally different and each is believed to be useful for something different (although the uses sometimes overlap). It’s also believed that you can cleanse and ‘charge’ any crystal for a specific purpose – this is usually done by leaving it in sunlight or placing it under running water, often along with some form of meditation or focused intent.

When we consider that all matter has energy and that these energies can interact with each other, it’s not such a stretch of the imagination to believe that we can manipulate said energy, unknowingly, even. Look at it from the perspective of your own experiences. Have you ever been around someone who left you either feeling energised or as if the life had been sucked from you? This is because your energies interacted. So I think it’s feasible that your energy can also interact with that of objects, including crystals.

What does the science say?

I admit I was disappointed to discover that the bulk of the evidence here is more anecdotal than scientific.

However, the following are interesting, represent the start of scientific evidence gathering and hint at some possibility:

There are accepted ways of using electrical currents to treat pain and other health issues, for example, transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS).An 1880 study by Jack and Pierre Curie found that crystals could create observable electrical energy with pressure and a temperature change. Their work indicates that holding a crystal might be able to affect your body’s energy.Another study concluded that it was merely the placebo effect and not the crystals themselves at work.

Consider also that the idea of a crystal’s energy field causing a change in a human energy field is similar to vibrational resonance in physics – a vibrating object causing another object to vibrate at higher amplitude. This does make it seem more scientifically plausible. Still, at this point, the general consensus in the scientific community is that it’s nothing more than pseudoscience – I believe that, one day, this will be proven to be incorrect!

Although crystal healing isn’t a substitute for a doctor or medication, it can definitely help you to feel stronger and more positive, thus having a generally positive influence on you. Whether this is the placebo effect or actual healing, I can’t scientifically verify. However, the placebo effect itself is evidence of the ‘magical’ power of the mind, which is equally mind-blowing if you ask me!

A client of mine allowed me to use her interpretation for her fairy transformation dream. I am thrilled about this because it is an amazing dream filled with symbolism and fits into many dream categories.

FYI, I left out a second dream scene, how to use the wisdom of her dreams, and messages from her spirit guides, as it was too personal for the public.

Client’s Fairy Transformation Dream

I was walking along a path near a pool or a body of water. I think it was a pool. Anyway, a fairy-like, very small creature flew into the center of my forehead, exactly where my third eye is located. I knew it was a she.

I am going to describe what she/it had on to the best of my ability. Her bottom was in black cloth, and you could see her torso and the upper half. She had two purple antennas attached to her head, and that is what flew into my forehead. It dazed her, and she fell.

She is a very small creature, but when she fell, she transformed into what I can recognize as human-ish/mermaid-ish. Then she just went into the water all the while she and I locked eyes.

I’m just throwing this out there. This could be a past life memory where you were a fairy-like creature. Or you were friends with one.

Perhaps she’s a spiritual guide. Just something to ponder.

Precognitive/Spiritual Chapter/Everything is You Dream

Yes, three dream categories. But this one makes sense. I’ll interpret this one. Then the second scene. And see how they can go together. (Sorry, I had to leave out the second dream scene as it was too personal.)

The path represents your journey in life, while the body of water can be about cleansing; in this case it feels more spiritual than emotional. Thus, you are about to go into a new spiritual chapter. I’m getting this journey will be very healing and a lot of growth for you. This makes sense since you just moved and had a birthday.

Now, the fairy-like small creature is actually you. The mystical deeper you from another realm, be it a mystical realm on Earth or a Heavenly realm. However, it can also represent an upcoming event that will seem small, yet be transforming.

I was trying to figure out which one it was, and my spirit guide said, “Actually it’s both.” So, there you have it.

Let me interpret her clothing before she flew into your forehead. The black bottom clothing is symbolic of the physical realm, while the see through upper half is for the mystical/spiritual that we cannot see – yet we know it is there.

I love this part! The two purple antennas are her connection to the higher, spiritual realm for her/you to feel, get information to transmit for herself and/or others.

Her appearance describes who you are. Grounded in the physical, yet a part of the spiritual.

Now, when this very small creature flew into the center of your forehead, fell, and it dazed her. It is representing some type of future event, which may seem small, not a big deal, and momentarily daze you. Nonetheless, it’s important.

It’s important because it will transform you into a new being (human-ish/mermaid-ish symbol). You will see things anew (perhaps with your third eye) and go into a deeper healing of who you are (the part where she transforms before your eyes and goes into the water). Possibly transforming realms as she goes back into the water. Another meaning of water is it’s you because humans are made up of a lot of water.

Final Thoughts

My client’s fairy transformation dream was powerful, and I’m looking forward to hearing about her upcoming life adventures! Her dream makes me wonder if fairies, elves, pixies, and more really exist, which I’ll write about in my upcoming Ponderings from Pamela newsletter.

Oh, Great Mother, show us the Earth’s Dream Messages!

Hmm, what should I write about? Perhaps, on how planet Earth needs peace? Then, my spirit guide gave me the message to pull a card from my first dream interpretation deck.

Lo-and-behold, I pulled the Earth Card. Here it is:

What Are Earth’s Dream Messages?

Earth’s dream messages are not a one size fits all. Your feelings towards the Earth, history, present situations, other symbols, and actions in the dream can create hundreds upon thousands of meanings.

For example, a gardener and a construction worker will have different viewpoints on the Earth’s value, and how to take advantage of her.

Home sweet home for someone who lives off the land might be a tent or a cabin. While a politician would be more comfortable living in a mansion.

Meditation for Your Earth’s Dream Message

Go to a quiet spot where you won’t be interrupted. Obviously, don’t do this while driving or in an unsafe area.

Close your eyes and breathe deeply. In and out, in and out, in and…

When you are ready, go back into your dream. You can visualize it, feel it, or just know you are there. And ask yourself the following questions:

How do I feel in the dream?What action is taking place?Can I find a storyline in the dream?How is it related to a situation in my life, whether it’s past, present, or future?Is there anything else I need to know about this dream?

What’s Pamela Dreaming?

The idea of writing a refrigerator dream meanings’ post came about from a recent dream I had. However, let’s first look at one I had over thirty-five years ago.

First Dream

I was in the basement of my childhood home. I opened up the freezer side of the refrigerator, which was packed with food and ice. When I took out a package of food, I thought of my mom.

Interpretation

The meaning of this dream was crystal clear to me, even though I was a newbie at dream interpretation. Because I was working on my mother issues during this time, I knew the fridge represented my frozen feelings and childhood issues. It was time to look and clean out all this stored-up baggage. Whew! There was a ton of work to be done!

Second Dream

In the recent dream, my mother-in-law was cleaning out a small hidden compartment in the fridge. I felt annoyed with her since the refrigerator was clean. Although I never noticed this small area.

Interpretation

Decades later, I have worked through a large amount of my issues. There is still inner stuff to heal, as represented by the hidden compartment.

What was really amazing about this dream is how I realized my mother-in-law’s annoying behavior is assisting me to heal deeper layers of stuff. She is also teaching me to love unconditionally.

What a lesson it is when life uproots you! Relocating to another area can be a necessary move or a geographical cure. I’ll use the example of a precognitive dream from 2010 to go further into this topic.

If we were meant to stay in one place, we’d have roots instead of feet.

Dream

Someone was showing me a building with aspects of different offices I had rented. We went upstairs. To my surprise, there were missing boards on the flooring and my sister was nailing boards into them.

“What in the world does that dream mean?” I asked myself upon awakening. This dream felt like a precognitive dream similar to the ones I had in the past. However, this dream baffled me about how my future would occur.

We can try to predict the future with analysis, actions, or psychic readings. The future will unfold the way it’s supposed to. Let go and allow it to occur the way it’s meant to be.

When Life Uproots Pamela

Six months later, my old car’s transmission went and needed expensive repairs. It was the summer of 2010, and I could barely afford my living expenses. What was I going to do?

The answer came in a vision. It was wild as I saw myself packing up and getting rid of furniture.

This horrified me because I knew it meant I would have to move to North Carolina to live with my sister. Hence, the symbolism in the dream of her helping me build a new foundation.

No! I was a Jersey Girl! I was supposed to live and die in New Jersey.

Learn More Was It a Geographical Cure?

A geographical cure is when a person thinks moving to a new town, state, or country will cure their addiction and/or the solution for personal problems. If they refuse to deal with their addiction and/or work on their issues, then nothing changes.

Oprah is a good example of a necessary move. When she moved from Baltimore, Maryland to Chicago, Illinois, her career moved in a positive direction. Afterwards, it took off!

Sometimes it’s a combination of both. You might need to escape an abusive relationship for your safety. Relocation can offer the solution if you work on why you attract an unhealthy partner or partners, so you can heal these issues.

It wasn’t a geographical cure for me as I had a precognitive dream, received a vision, and have been on the personal growth/spiritual path since 1989.

Of course, I could have gotten a couple of part-time jobs to make ends meet, and barely had any free time. That’s not the way I desire to live, and I would have been fighting destiny.

Being Uprooted Is Like Living On Another Planet

When you move to a new location, you might deal with different beliefs, customs, and lifestyles than what you are used to. Talk about confusion.

On a positive note, these differences will stretch your limited thinking. There’s a huge adjustment period. Talk about a new set of lessons.

Eastern North Carolina may be in the United States, yet it is so different from New Jersey’s suburbs. As one Southerner told me, “Ya’ll suburbs are our cities.”

Everything was different down here. The food, the slower pace, the landscape, and… Everything!

It felt like a spotlight was on me because of my New Jersey accent and license plate.

Honestly, I cried for months. My cat, Merlin, and parakeet, Birdy Bird, adjusted easier than me. Both of them have since crossed over to the other side.

Plant Yourself

Everyone has a choice to plant themselves in a new area. A person who did a geographical cure might need to return home. Or maybe not.

For those of you who chose to plant yourself, here are some suggestions:

Take a walk in your neighborhoodJoin a gym or yoga studioAttend spiritual groupsGo to eventsVolunteerGet involved with the communityHang out in a bookstore or coffee shop

The point is to explore the new area. Remember, it takes time to accumulate. Relationships don’t happen overnight.

You’re Rooted

There comes a time when the alien planet becomes like home. Visits to your former area might feel weird because it’s home, but it is now viewed from a new growth perspective.

Think about what you have learned from this move.

How has your life changed? Are there more positives than negatives?

Fifteen years later has brought me new insights. I tease that if I was a piece of barbecue chicken – the meat would be Jersey, while the barbecue sauce is all Southern. Giggle!

I’m planted here with no desire to move back. I met my soulmate, got married, and we have a house that would cost a fortune in New Jersey. My spirituality, personal growth, and business took off in ways which might not have happened if I fought destiny.

Life is all about change. You, me, and everyone else can be uprooted at any time. Trust that if it does, it’s happening for your highest good, and go with the flow…

“You will be the grandma of dream interpretation,” was the clairaudience message I received from my angel in May 2025. My immediate thought was, yeah, the grandma of metaphysical dream interpretation. Then I got a flash vision of Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud. What?

This was a little overwhelming for me to take because I see myself as a normal person. Okay, as normal as a new age hippy can be.

Yet, my angels have given me plenty of clairaudience messages for my clients and myself that came to fruition.

For example, I heard, “You’re moving,” many months before we started looking for a new home. While house hunting, they told me, “You are getting married.” We have been married for over a year and in our new home for a year.

Tell Someone

Things shared often bring them into perspective. Whether that’s writing in a journal and/or speaking your thoughts to someone who is safe. It helps get out doubts, anger, or whatever.

I shared my message with my coach/healer. Jen loved it and encouraged me to use the title.

Okay? Although, I still had some doubts.

I tested out this name by sharing it with several family members and a friend. To my surprise, most of them loved it and felt it suited me.

FYI, not everyone will support your ideas. Expect naysayers.

The Metaphysical Grandma of Dream Interpretation

The above heading is more of how I see myself. However, I’ll go with the title my angel gave me.

Why did I add metaphysical? Because precognitive dreams, dreams of the deceased, dreams of spirit guides, and past life dreams have always made my heart sing. These types of dreams are my favorite to interpret.

A Non-Metaphysical Dream Interpreter

Once I read a blog from a popular dream interpreter who interpreted a client’s visitation from a deceased one. This expert told the client there was no such thing as a dead loved one coming to visit in a dream; instead, it was her wish for them to be alive.

What? I was furious at this dream interpreter’s response. Who knows what kind of damage this interpretation did to the client? Yes, there are issues dreams we have of our departed loved ones.

And there are definitely dream visitations from deceased loved ones!

Many Visitations Dreams

It’s apparent this client isn’t the only one who has visitation dreams because of the large amount of daily clicks to my blogs about dreams of our deceased loved ones.
