Theodora Matthews is an American freelance copywriter who lives in Manchester with her husband Sam.
When Sam gets a promotion they head to London, a few days before he is due to start, planning to enjoy an early weekend break. On a night out together, Theodora becomes ill and while trying to figure out what's wrong she accidentally discovers not only is her husband’s new boss Lyzander Pierce, a powerful vampire, but she is also his soul keeper and fated mate. She wants nothing to do with Lyzander but is drawn to him by a bond they accidentally formed and must maintain in order to stay alive.
