Maria Linete Brito Landim Cardoso, nasceu em 1973 em Angola, filha de pais cabo-verdianos, mas desde os seus 3/4 anos que vive em Portugal.
Desde cedo que se associou a um grupo de leitura onde se debatia e trocavam livros, mas a sua paixão pela escrita só desabrochou com o aparecimento do “Vitinho”. Nessa altura a D. Inês, sua mãe, introduziu o recolher obrigatório,então, deitada na cama sem um pingo de sono, começou a contar histórias à irmã.
Rapidamente passou da oral à escrita, podendo assim partilhar os seus contos, escritos em cadernos de argolas, não só com a irmã mas também com as amigas do grupo de leitura.
