Having fun at the museum with your children….it is possible

What are we looking at? Are you going on a trip where museums are a must see, but you dread dragging your kids around?

…you gave me a fright! This might be how you feel at the thought of entering the museum with your kids in tow. Try entertaining your kids, or let them entertain themselves, by imitating the poses and faces of the statues. If you look closely, lots of them are pretty hilarious.

…..cheerrio, ta-ta for now. That’s my travel tip for how to tackle a museum with children. Instead of a boring time you will probably have lots of laughs and great family memories….with some very odd photos.

Book 4….PJ Mouse in a small corner of England

Roman baths at Bath. Truly an amazing culture for it’s time

Impressive trees, impressive estates….anyone recognize this one

Peak District National Park….fabulous spot for a hike….incredible diversity and awe inspiring views

Durdle Door….yes this is in England. Amazing beaches and ocean water you can swim in.

The Shambles in York. How do these slanted, twisted, old buildings stay up?

It’s just a pretty place for a walk

Almost looks too perfect to be real. Hard to believe about 70 000 000 people live here.

Where to now? England! Brilliant!! If you are coming with me to England then make sure you leave lots of time for exploring the endless countryside and quaint villages. And yes, even an odd pub or two…..children are allowed in.

quaint and beautiful….what is not to like

Frangipanies
These are so pretty, but you really need to smell them….something I cannot send via the internet…sorry.

Dreamworld on the Gold Coast
If you need some thrills then try here. There are some chairs that drop straight down this 38 story tower and a car that races up this. It will take your breath away. If you don’t like heights or speed then don’t go.

Lorikeets
….and if you offer them food you will soon have opened a ‘bird’ restaurant, as they spread the word and tell all their friends.

Lorikeets…any more for me?
Whitsunday Islands
The ocean water can be 29C in the summer….it is like a bath. No wonder all the tropical fish like it here. To swim here you just feel like the biggest fish in the sea as all the fish come up to your nose to check out who you are.
