Carolyn Boyd grew up in Parker County, Texas, and lived most of
her life in the North Texas area depicted in The Langston Saga. Her
great-great-grandfather moved his family to Texas prior to the Civil
War and the stories handed down from generation to generation
depicting the challenges and hardships encountered while living on
the raw Texas frontier were the inspiration for this, her first novel.

Ms. Boyd attended under-graduate school at New Mexico Tech in Socorro, NM, where she graduated
with a BS in Petroleum Engineering. She later attended law school at Oklahoma City University,
where she received her Juris Doctorate. She is now semi-retired, accepting only Court appointments
