back to work well maybe

To include all involve i will take a moment to address the blatant issue. I was offline since May. In May

I was forced to take a break. I went out with the kids one day and at the end of the day ended up in the ER. I was diagnosed with having a brain tumor, to date I am going through radiation. It is hard i had the surgery, then stayed in hospital, then went to rehabilitation, and finally hit rehabilitation. But I am going to make it. I am assured that my team will finish my Work, and please all the customers.

I will be taking it easy but will be up and taking calls.

This Business Building Program Is Life Changing It is Designed to Accomodate Even the Smallest Budgets

This Business Building Program Is Life Changing Register Today To Secure Your Seat. sgm logo IMG_0249 Dr. Carolyn Stephens launches the "IAABWNL Business Builders" Program

Some people talk about what's wrong but never do anything to change it. Others get up everyday and work to change the things that they can.

IMG_0252

The definition of change as a noun is "the act or instance of making or becoming different".

This type of change begins when someone stops simply talking about it; instead they step out and do whatever it is to make the situation different.

In magazines, news stories, and on social media you hear that women are underpaid and overlooked. You hear that they can not work together and when they do it is only to bash the opposite sex.

Dr. Carolyn Stephens dared to be different. She reached out to women in business to work with her to make a change; here is what happened.

First, they transparently told their stories in the book "I Am A Black Woman -The Next Level" which is set for public release in January 2022. This book talks about joy, pain, struggles and overcoming to accomplish their individual life goals. Upon completion the book was shared in different private circles to get honest feedback.

The response has now sparked a movement not only in the US but internationally. Twelve African American Business Builders synergize their business skills and talents to strengthen each other's businesses and provide a safe haven for other Black and Brown Women. The Next Level Business Builder Platform has a mission of providing business training that focuses on helping other women build spiritually, mentally, physically and economically regardless of their socioeconomic status to the NEXT LEVEL..

When asked what she thought of the team of business women that volunteered to assist in the program Dr. Stephens said,

"TOGETHER WE ARE THE GATE TO HELP OTHER WOMEN ELEVATE".

That spoke volumes. Now let's make one extremely clear-THIS PROGRAM IS FOR ANYONE THAT WANTS TO PARTICIPATE. All genders and races are welcome to join us in this life changing journey.

The participating coaches are both educated and experienced in the area in which they will be coaching; promising to give those they mentor the education and advise to start a thriving business.

The Power of I’m Sorry

The power of I’m SorryWe as people go through life with a me, me, me mentality. While I agree that self preservation is important and to thine own self be true; remember you do not exist alone. Other people feelings, hopes, dreams matter...especially to them. When you are single you can be all about you. When you are childless you can be all about you. But the moment you bring someone else into your life you have changed it from “me” to “we”.We blame money and sex for the divorce rate but when you drill down it is really the me or we. There is a failure to communicate and an even bigger failure to compromise. Let’s take a look at the obvious....how can two become one if there is no agreement? How can there be agreement with no communication? It is impossible. Because if you can not talk to know what hurts the other one, what angers the other one, what excites the other one; how can you agree to work around, help with, and overcome these obstacles.  But here is why relationships fail....no one genuinely says “I’m sorry”. The attitude is always well it’s done now he/she will get over it, but in reality they don’t. Silently it becomes another brick in the wall that the enemy is building to separate the two of you because it is easier to tear down a divided house than one that has unity and agreement.Scripture tells us a divided house can not stand. It’s time to rebuild the foundations of our homes. Make them strong. Here is a few helpful tips:Pray alone ask for the Creator to heal you in your broken places, mentally, emotionally, and physically. So that you can be a better spouse. Most of us have a selfish all about me attitude because we haven’t healed from a past trauma that left us feeling unimportant.Pray together. Do not let a day go by that you don’t pray together. Every day that you don’t you leave your house open to attack. Your emotional, financial and mental health suffer when you don’t pray together but we discuss that in another blog post.Talk...with out arguing, yelling, or complaining...have a simple conversation daily.Make all decisions together. How can you be one and going in two different directions. If you make a mistake and hurt your spouse apologize and then do not do that same thing again. If you repeat the same behavior after you know it is hurtful then you are not sorry and need to work on something’s within yourself.
Be wise...going forward be one.

#TruthorTradition Did Eve Lie to Adam? Where is the proof?

One of the long standing issues between men and women comes from misquoted scripture.
For years it has been taught that Eve tricked Adam into eating the apple [image error]

Understanding When Love Is A Lie

Unfortunately, many people fall victim to one of the biggest lies daily because of vulnerability. Sadly, “I love you” is one of the biggest lies people tell. Despite the beauty, and power of genuine love some people use the thought of it for deception and manipulation of others. Love is an action word. You feel love. In many ways you see love. Perfect example is parenthood, when you have a child you know before the baby can talk that it loves you, the look in its eyes, the way it responds to your presence. You knew the love of your parents by what they did not what they said. But when it comes to relationships we forget what we already know and in so many cases the desire to feel like someone loves us we dismiss common sense and fall for the okeydoke.I am not saying that everyone saying “I love you” is lying.I am saying that actions speak louder than words so if you hear it but don’t feel it or see it you may want to be careful.Remember the basics:“Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,”1 Corinthians 13:4 KJV
Pay attention. Real love is out there.

Cigarette .....I hate them....

So before I get into facts I am going to give my opinion. I HATE cigarettes they stink, and they kill people. But the fact is that people smoke them of their own free will regardless of the consequences.Why...because they say they ease stress, they say it is cool, they say they like it, and whatever other
reason they may have at the time. Now here is why they really smoke...pay close attention:Nicotine is just as addictive as heroin or cocaine.
(Source: US Department of Health and Human Services)Nicotine reaches the brain in approximately 10 seconds so the feeling it produces happens
almost immediately. (Source: US Department of Health and Human Services)Ammonia is one of the chemicals used in the manufacturing of cigarettes, which is also an
addictive substance. (Source: US National Library of Medicine, 2011 Amsterdam, J. ….
”Effect of Ammonia in Cigarette Tobacco on Nicotine Absorption in Human Smokers”So the truth is they smoke because they are ADDICTED.
So what P why does it matter? They are happy so why are you blogging about it?
Simple...I am tired of watching them die ignorantly. If they know and still choose to do it fine but I at least
want to make this information known.
I refuse to believe that most smokers know the following: There are 250 toxic chemicals in tobacco. Arsenic (yes that is used in rat poison) is one of them. The chemical impact on the body is severe. The tar and goop line the veins and arteries causing
the prevention of blood flow and oxygen to the muscles in the body. This lack of circulation cause
s pain and over time the inability to use the affected areas. So let me be a little more blunt so you
can clearly understand:In men it slows down and overtime cause their penis to not function in a sexual capacity as
it should. Due to no circulation there is no get up. How many men knowingly chose to
cause themselves to not be able to enjoy sex?Lack of blood and oxygen deteriorates the vital organs. The chemical intake causes 12 different types of cancer, not just lung cancer like everyone
seems to think. It causes mouth cancer, throat cancer, stomach cancer, lung cancer,
Colon cancer, kidney cancer, liver cancer, blood cancer, Do I have your attention yet?We all already know that smoking is the leading cause for needing a tracheotomy.
(hole in your throat) Did you know that over time you can end up in a wheel chair with the inability to use your
legs due to the lack of circulation caused by cigarette smoking?
I do not understand how anyone can fix their mouth to say “I love you” to their parents, kids, spouse or
anyone else for that matter and fire up a cigarette knowing they are slowly killing themselves.
So let me ask this simple question, if committing suicide it the act of killing ones self wouldn't cigarette
smoking be considered a long term suicide mission? I am just asking for a friend.
I know it isn’t easy and that there will be some good days and some bad ones but if you love yourself
quit smoking.

To Live You Need Some Light

Though it is undetermined how long a human can live without sunlight we know that the light from the sun is definitely necessary for our health and survival.

The same applies to plants. Most plants expect an average of 10 to 16 hours of light per day, and power themselves up accordingly. When plants don't receive sunlight, for example, their own life processes can't be supported because they eventually run out of energy.

So it is fair to say that Light is essential for not just life but a healthy life.

Not only is it important but we naturally crave light.

If you look at the picture you will see that branches/vines are naturally growing towards the light.

So let's apply this to human life and human spirituality.

We know that there is both light and darkness in the spiritual like in the natural. Some call it good and evil but no matter what you call it for this example we will use light and dark.

You have people that suffer in the darkness of depression, loneliness, pain, rejection, and no matter how bright the sun is shining outside the pain keeps them in perpetual darkness.
Each day they carry the heaviness of this darkness with no hopes of help. Afraid to tell anyone how they feel for fear they will be considered crazy.

No one should have to live in constant darkness, no one should have to feel that their feelings don't matter.

Matthew 5:16 says "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

You maybe thinking I am not a Pastor or a Minister, I'm not definitely not perfect. I can't help anyone.

But God placed good in all of us no specific title required.

Our job daily is to live our life in a way that gives light in the areas of darkness. We should not only read or speak the Words of light as described in Psalm 119:105  "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path."  We should also treat people in a way that displays light.

We have the ability to use the Word of God and the power that he has placed within us to help those who are in darkness to find hope, healing....light.

Lend a listening ear, give a genuine hug, and spread love and light instead of darkness and hate.

Ladies...Are you really ready to get married? A snippet from the upcoming book of the same title

While it is true that most women dream of having a big, beautiful, wedding to remember; do they really want to be married?
I have no problem believing that most want a companion because no want to be alone but do they really want to be married?

To figure out the answer we first have to realize what is marriage really...
Websters Dictionary say that Marriage means "the legally or formally recognized union of two people as partners in a personal relationship (historically and in some jurisdictions specifically a union between a man and a woman)."
The King James Version of the Bible in Genesis 2:24-25 says the following in regards to marriage
"24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed."

Let's stop here for a moment. The first thing we learn is that in marriage the two become one. That means there is no more "me", "mine", "you", "yours" instead in all things it is "us","ours", and "we".
So being married leave no room for independence....no longer does she have her own house it is now their house, no more own car...it's their car. Everything is shared because now the two of you are one.

Are you ready to be one?And even though now we wear clothes I want to briefly touch on the naked and not ashamed part. Being ready to be married means being ready to be naked without shame and seeing his nakedness with out shame or uneasiness. Not just the naked body but the naked mind, the naked heart, the naked psyche. Nakedness does not only mean to be without clothing but also without disguise.

Are you ready to be the REAL you and accept him being the REAL him?Just a little something to think about.

The rest is coming soon in my upcoming book "Ladies...Are you really ready to get married?"

I am a huge fan of love and marriage. But I will be the first to admit that a real marriage is far from easy to maintain. The book will touch on things we need to pay attention to and be fully aware of about ourselves or him when preparing ourselves to be married.

I write on the topic not only from formal education, and spiritual training but also from real life experience.

The story of how I went from angry, broken, and single to healed, empowered and married is told in "He Was There All The Time" which is available on Kindle, Nook, Google Play and Amazon.

"Ladies....Are you really ready to get married?" will go more into detail with the things God revealed to me about myself, the things I had to acknowledge and the mindset that I had to develop to move from wanting a husband to having the husband that He prepared for me.

Men hurt too Part 1 Sexual Abuse

Statistics state the 1 in 5 #boys are #sexually abused before the age of 18 and that 23% of those are under the age of 6 at the time of the abuse. But 95% goes unreported...so they go from hurt little boys to hurt grown men carrying a pain so deep that they never realize shapes how they interact with people the rest of their lives. Society has made it where the man is exposed to embarrassment instead of healing if he speaks out. Don’t be confused sexual abuse of a male is not predominantly done by other men. Females are the majority in regards to the hurting of these boys. The babysitter, the older female family member experimenting sexually, teachers, family friends, strangers and sad to say even mothers. This boy that was victimized more often than not grows into the man we call a womanizer. He has no true value of most women only sees them as sexual objects ....we talk down on him but this is a learned behavior. In lots of cases the young man is confused on how to even feel because of the things he hears.
Here is an example scenario: Little Petey is 8yrs old he has a 16yr old babysitter. The babysitter is sexually curious or maybe a victim of abuse herself. She orally copulates Petey, He is uncomfortable with what is happening he is 8 he doesn’t understand, he is still at the age where he doesn’t even want to be seen naked. Petey tells Uncle Harry instead of addressing the issue like Petey is a child and firing the babysitter Uncle Harry tells Petey congratulations you getting head already you’re the man. Little Petey is now more confused he wants to play Fort Night and hang out with his friends; just be a normal kid but his babysitter is turning him into an 8 yr old sex toy with each experience going farther and farther. Despite the fact he feels uncomfortable he doesn’t complain because based on his Uncle’s response this is what men are supposed to do plus even though He doesn’t want it, it feels good to his body. It is confusing for adults imagine the child in this situation.Good boy turned into a man that will have no connection between the special bond that should come with sex...he will only know the physical feeling and heartless approach.
Then you have Little Bob who is 6yrs old. He stays at the neighbors house at night while mom works. The neighbor’s live in brother sexually abuses Bob. Bob has learned from tv and hearing adults talk that men that have sex with men are gay. He hears them called “fagots” “punks” and all types of other things; he sees them bullied. Despite the pain he doesn’t tell because he doesn’t want to be labeled, teased, or bullied. He carries that pain and all the “why’s?” Until he can’t anymore.  Boys like Little Bob often commit suicide, become gay, or become a sexual predator themselves. Those that survive it and go on to marry women and have families are often hard to understand because they suffer a form of PTSD. And literally go though life a ticking time bomb with hidden triggers.
Men are people too. They deserve love and understanding. They need a shoulder to cry on and a listening ear also.
My prayers are with my brothers suffering in silence, may God grant them comfort, peace, and most of all healing.
