Anna and Julia Hider are two-thirds of a set of triplets born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Julia graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in journalism, while Anna majored in TV/radio/film at Syracuse University. Inspired by a TV documentary that included some pretty crazy “Johnny Reb” and “Billy Yank” facial hair, they set up their blog, “Badass Civil War Beards”—and the rest, as they say, is history.
