Literary Music (My First Symphony)!
Over the years, I've written enough music for my book trailers and audio books that it's occurred to me that they might be put together to form a more significant work. It seems to me that readers might even appreciate another avenue for gaining emotional insight into the novels. Quite a while ago, I began writing a symphony to use for promoting The Shadow That Endures, and a few rough sketches were even used in the book trailer. I had made it as far as the third movement when the computer with the musical score and recordings crashed irreparably. The JPL computer engineer friend who tried to save it said I might have damaged the chips by crashing it repeatedly in my attempt to push the envelope of what was possible (the finished version of the First Movement has 93 tracks). Rather than trying to desolder the hard drive, I set out to re-create and improve the 'lost symphony,' which is now available on Spotify and approximately 30 other streaming services. I hope you will enjoy this labor of love.

Hardback - Released!!
The hardback version of A Habit of Resistance has been released and it is beautiful! Finally the colors on the cover are as they were always intended. This is a first-edition and there is no telling how long it will be available in this form. When work concludes on foreign language editions, the designation will naturally be updated to reflect revisions.
We are also proud to celebrate, A Habit of Resistance, rising to #3 in French Literature (Kindle). Thank you to everyone for your support!

The Audiobook
It is with great pride that I announce the release of "A Habit of Resistance - The Audiobook." Read by British actress Amelie Edwards; you will experience this uplifting story in an entirely new way as she brings the characters to life with exceptional warmth and humor. In what I believe to be a rare feature for an audiobook, the music for the project has been scored by the author, allowing the reader to experience the emotional intent as never before. Over six months in production, I hope you will consider supporting this project.

REVISION - MORE THAN ALIVE
Dear readers, a notable update to More Than Alive was posted online and all ebook users are encouraged to download the latest version. This version contains structural and content refinements for your reading enjoyment. The version will be live by Tuesday, July 28th.
Additionally, the ARC was created on a different software platform, that was not practical to update. It is a very early version that did not see the refinements found in even the first production version of More Than Alive.

New Interview
A very thoughtful, and insightful, interview over at the Speculative Fiction Showcase. Lots of philosophical connections about my work and life in general:

More Than Alive: Death of an Idol
Production has begun on the cover artwork for More Than Alive: Death of an Idol. I should be seeing the initial sketches, from Asia, some time next week. This will be my third novel having fun with the tropes of a genre (in this case anime/Japanese media). Anyone who enjoyed "A Habit of Resistance" will want to look forward to this one.

My Genre...
Lately, we've been trying to determine what genre in which to place my upcoming book, More Than Alive. It could be considered Urban Fantasy, Sci-fi, Young Adult, and Paranormal. I've always been interested in exploring the tropes unique to different genres and having some fun with them along the way. Some might call it high-concept, but maybe high-meta might be more accurate. In the meantime, the sakura trees will soon bloom and perhaps the answer will present itself.

Regarding My Kyoto Period.
An article that I hope explains what I've been up to, as of late.
