THE STILL HOLY NIGHT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING
THE STILL HOLY NIGHT THAT CHANGED EVERYTHINGYour beautiful collection, Christmas Messages: Inspiring Poetry, warmed my heart with both joy and reverence. In a world that often rushes through the season of Christmas in pursuit of celebration without reflection, your words call us back to the stillness, to the sacred heartbeat of what it truly means to rejoice in Christ's coming. From the very first poem, it's clear that this book is more than a collection of verses; it's a ministry wrapped in rhythm and light. You remind readers that Christmas is not simply a season but a story, the story of God's greatest gift, His Son, given out of pure love for humanity. Through your poetry, you bring that message to life again, not as distant theology but as a living truth that breathes hope into weary hearts. There is something profoundly comforting in the way you write. You capture not only the miracle of Christ's birth but the wonder of His presence, how the manger became a doorway for divine love to enter our human experience. Each line feels like an echo of the angelic proclamation that first filled the Bethlehem sky: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men. What touched me most is how Christmas Messages does what Christmas itself was meant to do: unite hearts across boundaries of age, culture, and circumstance through the shared story of redemption.Your poetry rekindles the childlike awe that lives inside us all, the part that still believes in light overcoming darkness, in faith that restores, and in love that never fails. Your book is a beautiful reminder that Christmas is not about perfection or performance, it's about presence; God's presence with us. Through your poetry, you've given readers a chance to pause, to breathe, and to remember that amid the noise of the season, there is a still, holy night that changed everything.L GONZALEZ

TRINIDADIAN BRENDA MOHAMMED RISES FROM AUTHOR TO WINNING SCREENPLAY WRITER
ZEEKA AND THE ZOMBIES
When a mysterious outbreak linked to the Zika virus transforms children into zombies, a determined team of doctors and a sceptical detective must expose the rogue cop disguised as a scientist behind it, before his undead army overruns their Caribbean island home.
Brenda Mohammed crafts an intense, character-driven sci-fi horror thriller set in a richly imagined futuristic Caribbean world in 2036. The story’s high-tech elements, such as robots, brain-enhancing inventions, and weaponized zombies, mix with Caribbean Carnival celebrations, creating a visually stunning and culturally rich backdrop. The fusion of sci-fi, dark fantasy, and Caribbean folklore makes the story both unique and immersive.
The story is purely the author’s imagination, inspired by the Zika virus in 2016, and where Good triumphs over Evil.
The protagonist, Dr. Steven Sharpe, undergoes a deep transformation, evolving from victim to hero, while the antagonist, Master Zeeka, is psychologically complex, adding depth to the conflict.
With zombies, ghosts, kidnappings, and shocking revelations, the plot keeps the tension high.
In this new edition of Zeeka and the Zombies: A Futuristic Sci-Fi Horror, the author Brenda Mohammed has added three more episodes, making it a four-episode novel.
The screenplay for Zeeka and the Zombies is a finalist in the 13Horror Screenplay Contest 2025.

I received this email in my inbox for a screenplay competition I entered.ZEEKA AND THE ZOMBIES FOUR EPISODE SCREENPLAY IS A FINALIST IN 13HORROR.COM SCREENPLAY CONTEST 2025Andrew Hannon6:11 PM (1 hour ago)Congratulations! Your screenplay has been selected as a Finalist in the 13Horror.com Screenplay Contest 2025!Finalist status is only awarded to the screenplays that scored high enough to place in the top 25% of entries. You can download your Finalist Laurels here and view the complete list of Finalists on our website, 13Horror.com. Here are the judge's comments:Hi Brenda,Thanks again for submitting Zeeka and the Zombies to the 13Horror.com Film & Screenplay Contest. It stands out for its unique blend of genres and vivid setting. I particularly enjoyed the richly imagined futuristic Caribbean world in 2036. The way you fused sci-fi elements with dark fantasy and Caribbean folklore created a backdrop that was both unique and deeply immersive. This setting, with its advanced technology, really anchored the story in a distinctive environment. Very creative! You've worked in several well-executed plot developments that kept the tension high throughout. The revelation that Chief of Police Grady was the true mastermind was pulled off really nicely. The touching twist when it was revealed that Zeeka, despite his villainy, had not activated the killer gadgets in Number Nine's false head, subtly wishing for his son to live, also caught me quite off guard.Your screenplay delivers on several horror fronts. The gruesome scene during the Carnival massacre, vividly depicting the (splendidly specific) 125 deaths and 75 severe injuries, with descriptions of blood-splattered areas and severed body parts, was a delight!Overall, Zeeka and the Zombies is a compelling and ambitious work that successfully weaves together a complex narrative with strong characters and memorable horror elements. There are moments of humor, witty dialogue, and light-hearted interactions woven into the narrative, which made it a very entertaining read.Best regards,AndrewAndrew HannonContest Director
