It’s Release Day for The Sound of Light!
Well, Release Day is finally here for my newest romantic suspense, The Sound of Light. I’m so excited to share this story with you!! It’s one that I hope will stimulate conversations about love and family and loss and greed. I’m in love with the leading lady, K’acy McGee, and her father, Robert, whose voice tells you a good bit of the story. Of all the characters I’ve created, these are the two that will stick with me for a long time to come.
And then there’s Adam Sinclair, K’acy’s bed-headed swooner. He’s a good guy from a very bad family that’s manipulated and controlled him for all of his life. When Adam meets K’acy things seem perfect, but she’s got one hell of a secret and things aren’t necessarily as they seem.
Jarrod Wilcox, the epic ass-shaker and K’acy’s best friend, is also a guy worth loving. I’m excited for you to meet him, too!
The Sound of Light is a standalone novel, and I absolutely loved writing it! Yes, I know it took a long time to get it out into your hands, but I hope you’ll find that it’s totally worth the wait!

Oh, and one last thing… If you decide to read this crazy little story, it would be super-awesome if you’d drop a review on Goodreads, Amazon, or wherever you can. It really helps other people discover the book — and it’s the best gift you can give to an author (even if it isn’t a 5-star!).
With love and appreciation,
Claire

New Book by Claire Wallis: The Sound of Light
Hi, book friends. I know it’s been a long time since I connected with you, but I finally have some great news to share. My newest book, The Sound of Light, is scheduled for release on Monday, July 17th, 2017! And to sweeten the news even further, the e-book will be available for preorder on some platforms as of next Monday – June 19th! I’ll be sure to share buy links when I have them.
Unlike my two previous novels, Push and Pull, The Sound of Light will also be available as a print book (hooray!!). I’m so excited to share this story with you at long last. Oh, and check back here next Monday, when I’ll reveal the cover image for the book, too.
In the meantime, I’d like to tell you a little bit about the story.
Let me start by sharing the book’s blurb with you:
THE SOUND OF LIGHT by Claire Wallis
My littlest girl has always been a bit peculiar. It was nothing I could ever put a finger on, but I always knew there was something inside her that made her a different kind of special. A deeper kind.
K’acy’s got a light around her, one that’ll just about knock you over, especially if you don’t see her coming. She’s got music in her soul, too. Deep, resonating music that echoes and hums, just like the notes that come from the bass guitar she’s had attached to her hip since the day she turned thirteen years old.
She’s got a hell of a secret, yes, but she does what she’s got to do to make it one worth having. She takes care of people. She changes their stories. I spent my life telling both of my girls that you always gotta do what’s right, even when it hurts, and it makes me proud to know she was listening.
I saw the way she looked at that boy on the day they met, and I knew right then that things were going to change. Two different people from two different worlds is nothing but a recipe for heartbreak, and when the lies pile higher and higher, it can change a person into something they’re not.
It took me dying all those years ago to finally figure out just exactly how special my K’acy really is, and even though I’m not with her anymore, I don’t want that boy and his family to change her. I want her to keep doing what’s right, even when it hurts.
Because that’s who she is inside. That’s her deeper kind of special.
I know the blurb doesn’t tell you a whole lot of specifics about the story, but it does give you plenty of hints about the feel and tone of the book. I enjoyed writing this story so much! It took me about a year to finish it (due mostly to my “day job”), and I loved every second of the process. I think you’ll find it has a different feel from my previous titles; don’t get me wrong, it’s equally as sexy, fast-paced, and intense, but in a very different way. My hope is that I’ve written another book that weaves together many story threads and voices to generate some pretty intense feelings and make you question what you believe is right and good.
Of all the characters I’ve written, K’acy, the lead female in The Sound of Light, is my hands-down favorite. She’s got a vibe that makes me feel like no other character has. She’s fictional, of course, but I wish I knew her in person. I wish she was real. And I hope after reading the book, you’ll feel the same.
I’ll share more details about the book’s release as it becomes available. Thanks for your patience and support!

PUSH goes international
I got a package in the mail yesterday, and what a crazy treat it was to see what was inside. PUSH was released as a mass market paperback in Norway, Sweden, and Finland last week, and I now have a few copies of each. It’s so damn crazy to see your words in other languages…
According to Google translate, the Swedish subtitle for the book is “She falls for me. As they always do.” I LOVE that so much. And the redesigned cover – well, that’s awesome-sauce, too! Now, if I could only read Norwegian…
Here’s a peak at the three different covers:
All best,
Claire

PUSH goes on a blog tour and other good stuff
Hey there. Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve updated everyone on what’s been happening. It’s been a crazy couple of months since PULL’s release. Here’s the scoop on some cool stuff that’s been going down…
- PUSH is currently on a blog tour (from April 6th – 11th)! It’s pretty exciting to see so many great new reviews going up. Here’s a link to all the sites hosting reviews and giveaways via Xpresso Book Tours. Be sure to check them out and enter for a chance to win an Amazon gift card, a digital copy of PUSH, or a copy of the audiobook. And speaking of the audiobook…
- The audiobook of PUSH, narrated by yours truly, was released recently via Audible Studios. If you’re interested in checking out the audiobook, here’s how. It’s free with a 30 day trial of Audible, or $2.99 if you already own the ebook of PUSH.
- Lots of new readers are discovering PUSH and PULL via word of mouth, and I’m super jazzed about that! Thanks for helping spread the word about David and Emma’s crazy little story. If you haven’t had a chance to post a review of either of the books, it would be awesome if you’d be willing to hop over to Amazon or Barnes and Noble and post your thoughts in a review of your own. Thanks!
- The biggest reason I haven’t posted in such a long time is because I’ve been busy working on my next book. It’s going to be a few more months until I finish, but I’m really loving the story, and I hope you’ll love it, too. It’s another new adult romantic suspense with lots of twists and turns. I’ll keep you posted on my progress.
All best,
Claire

PULL’s Release Day!
Today is PULL’s release day! I’m so excited – but I’m also nervous as all get out. I hope you enjoy reading the second part of the story as much as I enjoyed writing it. Yesterday, the folks at RT BookReviews sent me the link to their awesome review of the book. Here’s my favorite part: “The second part of Wallis’s Push duology picks up at the cliffhanger ending of the first book and takes the reader on an OMG roller-coaster ride right up until the dramatic ending. If the first book solicited a wealth of emotions, prepare to run the gamut again.”
PULL is available via Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and iBooks. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the rest of David and Emma’s story.

Pre-Orders open Monday!
Good news! Amazon pre-orders will open for PULL on Monday. Yep, that’s right – Monday, October 20th!!! The book is in the latter stages of formatting and is nearly ready to go. It’s a very exciting time. I gotta say though, that I’m a lot more nervous for this book to enter the world than I was for PUSH. Seems like there’s more pressure now that I know so many of you are passionately invested in the story. Needless to say, I’m going to be drinking A LOT on release day. November 6th will be here before we know it (it’s only 20 days away, after all!), so I’m off to the liquor store to stock up on the Maker’s. In the meantime, here’s a teaser to quench your own thirst (or make you thirstier?? not sure…).
