In my mind, I don't call it writer's block, so I never have it. :) I may become bored with a writing task, or lose focus, and I use that as a signal to shift to doing a different task regarding the writing process, or to take a break.

Also, I focus on writing first thing in the morning, every day. This primes my psyche to expect it and so there's no resistance. I'm a big fan of the concept that showing up regularly makes the muse appear. My job is to put butt in chair and demonstrate I'm all in. My rule is that, for a set amount of time (one hour minimum, which often stretches into two or three or four hours), I can't do anything but focus on the book in progress. I can listen to music. I can lie on the couch and daydream about the work-in-progress. I can write experimental drafts. I can write out conversations between me and my characters. But I can't do laundry or get a head start on making lunch or check emails. It's writing or nothing. Therefore, I write. :)
