JC-Election 2015: Why British Jews will welcome Tory win

In the following  JC article Marcus Dysch explains why British Jews preferred  Sabbos Goy David Cameron over clown  Bar Mitzvah Boy Ed Miliband. This article is an embarrassing  glimpse into Judeo centrism – every person within the British political spectrum is judged in reference to the Jews and their self-interests.

By Marcus Dysch

When the rosettes and the placards are packed away, the winners have caught up on sleep, and the losers have drowned their sorrows, what messages will British Jews take away from the 2015 election?

A couple of points are blatantly clear, even so soon after the declarations.

It sounds like a broken record, I know, but Ed Miliband’s stance on Israel did hurt Labour.

How else can you explain the results in Hendon, Finchley and Golders Green and Harrow East?

Labour’s Sarah Sackman had at one stage been a point ahead of Tory incumbent Mike Freer in Margaret Thatcher’s old seat. Yet she finished 5,662 votes behind, barely any better than her predecessor had five years ago.

Andrew Dismore, the former Labour MP in Hendon, had been confident of returning to the Commons’ green benches this month. But he saw Matthew Offord romp away to extend a 106 majority to nearer 4,000.

Big Tory wins in three of the biggest Jewish constituencies. Maybe it was just a coincidence, maybe it was really all down to the mansion tax and the economy?

But all the evidence points to the toxicity factor that I wrote about last month. Almost every Jewish voter I spoke to reeled at the thought of Miliband as Prime Minister. Most of the expletive-laden comments offered when his name was mentioned cannot even be repeated here.

Miliband himself told me 10 days ago that it didn’t matter – some people would agree with him, some would not. Arch cynics would say his anti-Israel position came with the belief it would play well in constituencies with large Muslim populations and would secure backing from vehement anti-Israel backbenchers.

But now it is the man who wanted to be the country’s first Jewish Prime Minister who finds himself cast into the political wilderness.

Who fared better? Not the Liberal Democrats’ most senior female, Jewish minister. Lynne Featherstone was beaten so heavily in Hornsey and Wood Green that the gigantic swing to Labour reads like something from a political fantasy.

Her political career is over, like so many of her colleagues in the upper echelons of the party.

Few in the Jewish community will mourn the departure of Vince Cable, the man who fought to impose an arms embargo on Israel at the height of the Gaza conflict.

The party’s now ex-leader, Nick Clegg, often made the right noises towards British Jews, but his failure to deal properly with the party’s controversial backbencher, David Ward, will be long remembered. It finished the Lib Dems as a potential vote for almost the entire Jewish population of Britain.

There will be wry smiles on the faces of those who found Mr Ward’s comments about Jews and Israel abhorrent when they sit back and admire his hammering in Bradford East. Another big mouth consigned to the dustbin of history.

The situation in Scotland, where so many Labour Friends of Israel – Jim Murphy, Anne McGuire, Michael McCann – are now gone, replaced by the SNP, will be deeply worrying to many Jews north of the border.

Weeks and months of patient consideration will be needed if any sort of working relationship is to succeed between the community and Nicola Sturgeon’s party.

Who can expect to benefit most in personal terms from today’s results? Luciana Berger, who was already a rising star in the Labour shadow cabinet, should be handed a big position when the party selects a new leader.

It is hard not to feel enormously sorry for defeated Tory Lee Scott, a man who never shirked from defending Jews, even when it meant his personal safety was threatened in his Ilford North seat. It would be to the community’s benefit if he returns to a role in a Jewish organisation, similar to that which he held before entering Parliament.

Robert Halfon, the buccaneering Tory campaigner, deserves a bigger role than his previous job working under George Osborne in the Treasury.

David Cameron’s former deputy chief of staff, Oliver Dowden, will be a useful ally for the community in Hertsmere. Already a strong supporter of Israel, he can be expected to bend the Prime Minister’s ear further still.

But that brings us to the final and arguably most important point. The strength of David Cameron’s relationship with Anglo-Jewry means the majority of the community will be celebrating around their Shabbat dinner tables this weekend.

A month ago, 69 per cent of British Jews said they would support the Tories. Two-thirds preferred Mr Cameron’s approach to that of Mr Miliband.

“More of the same” is rarely a political position that attracts people. But if our community enjoys another five years of the warmest possible relations with the Prime Minister, then few will complain.

ADL Reports: Gilad Atzmon and Yaakov Shapiro Condemn Israel and Zionism

Introduction by GA:

Unlike JVP and Modoweiss who cowardly failed to even mention* the historic anti Zionist gathering between Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro and yours truly in NYC last Wednesday, the infamous ultra Zionist ADL was brave enough to send a reporter to the event and even deliver a brief review of the discussion. The meaning of this is obvious and depressing. Unlike our so-called Jewish ‘allies’ who are actively engaged in suppression of intellectual exchange and policing the discourse, the vile Zionists are willing to encounter criticism and even give it a thought. This fact alone may explain why Zionism has won such vast support amongst Jewish people. At the end of the day, Zionism is coherent and consistent as much as it is genocidal and supremacist. But the Jewish left is duplicitous to its core; concealment and suppression of truth is its survival strategy.

A video of the discussion will be released soon

Flyer advertising the event

On May 6 in New York City, an anti-Israel event featured Gilad Atzmon, an Israeli-born anti-Semite based in London, and Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro, Spokesperson for the anti-Israel group “True Torah Jews.” The stated goal of the event, titled “Judaism versus Jewish Identity Politics: Religion versus Tribalism,” was to help “unravel the tangled web of secular Jewish politics, right and left.”

In his remarks, Atzmon claimed that there have been concerted efforts to silence his views, but that the efforts were “not from Zionist bodies, but actually from Jewish left bodies,” such asJewish Voice for Peace. He stated that JVP’s stance took him “by complete surprise” because he had always worked towards “opposing Israel.”

Atzmon claimed that there are three categories of Jews:

Jews who follow the Torah and see Judaism as the core of their identityThose who identify as Jews because they have Jewish heritageThose who identify politically as Jews

Atzmon, who referred to himself as “a devoted self-hater,” stated that the first two categories of Jews are “innocent” because religious Jews “have never been involved in any collective genocidal attempt against another people,” and that having “a Jewish mother doesn’t make you into a war criminal.”

According to Atzmon, the third category of Jews are “guilty” because they have supposedly been “at the center of too many disasters,” including the Bolshevik Revolution, the Spanish Civil War, and the “Nakba.” He added that in the U.S. there was “Jewish influence within the neo-conservative school” and that America is “paying the price for those wars,” which he stated were not “rabbinical wars.”

After Atzmon concluded his initial remarks, Rabbi Shapiro spoke, echoing much of what Atzmon said, and adding his religious anti-Zionist ideology to the discussion. Like Atzmon, he spoke against the creation of Israel and called its formation “a historical anomaly.” But, rather than focusing on the various categories of Jews that Atzmon did, Shapiro instead spoke only about secular Jews and religious Jews.

According to Shapiro, Zionism was created by secular Jews who wanted to destroy Orthodox Judaism because they allegedly “absorbed the attitudes of the anti-Semites and looked at the Jews themselves with the same disgust and loathing that the anti-Semites did.” He continued and stated “the reason the Jews were disgusting is because they looked like me and they acted like me. And they blamed the religious Jews for anti-Semitism.”

Shapiro added, “When Gilad says ‘the Jews do this and the Jews do that,’ he’s talking about one type, those are secular Jews…The Jews that stole our identity. Nevermind the Palestinians say they stole our land. They stole our Jewish name, they stole my identity, they are not real Jews!”

* I myself emailed each of Mondoweiss's editors as well as JVP' secretary about the NYC event. I invited them to attend the meeting and report about it to their followers.

In Gratitude of JVP

By Gilad Atzmon

I want to thank JVP (Jewish Voice For Peace) for once again displaying their corrosive attitude.  The following is another clumsy ad hominem attack: no facts, no attempt to substantiate. It is a crude, futile exercise in policing free thought and interference with the understanding of Jewish Identity politics, Israel and Zionism.

Our Jewish ‘peace’ merchants are panicking for a good reason. They realize that I am about to blow the whistle. I have recently complied a devastating document that proves that the Jewish solidarity project has successfully derailed the pro Palestinian campaign. In the next two weeks I will present my case in 10 American cities and on radio and TV shows.

These Jewish activists preach against ‘right wing rhetoric’ but they themselves operate within racially exclusive political cells.  Maybe they should finally disclose how many ‘goyim’ hold seats within their ‘Jews only’ JVP board. Is it possible that the Zionist Knesset is more diverse than the ‘anti’ JVP?  You can decide for yourself.

Once again these Zionist employ their flawed terminology - ‘Colonialism,’ ‘ settler colonialism,’ ‘apartheid,’ etc. to conceal the fact that Israel defines itself as the Jewish State and its politics are driven by a radical yet vastly popular interpretation of Jewishness.

One might expect progressive Jews to defy the notion of choseness.  But the JVPs insist upon dictating what language is allowed and what ‘detracts’ from the Palestinian movement. Is not the huge list of great humanists, scholars and pillars of Palestinian solidarity supporting my work enough to shake this deceitful bunch of crypto Zionists JVPs? Not yet apparently…

And who or what is a ‘neo Nazi’ exactly?  Out of curiosity I would love to learn from JVP what makes peace hero activist Ken O’Keefe into a Neo Nazi (whatever that is), What did O’Keefe do to deserve such repulsive treatment at the hands of our so-called  ‘Jewish allies’?

Dear friends, long ago I came to the conclusion that the Jewish Left is not the solution; it is actually the core of the problem. The document below proves my point.

https://www.facebook.com/FrontRangeJVP/posts/915322115191237?fref=nf&pnref=story

This Friday, Gilad Atzmon will be speaking at Mutiny Cafe. Here is our response:

"As Front Range Jewish Voice for Peace, we are aware of the presence of right-wing rhetoric and casual anti-Semitism amongst many groups who oppose Zionism and many policies of the state of Israel. Many of us in Denver have noticed the influence of intellectually lazy anti-Zionism, which points the finger at Jews for our role in perpetrating the Israeli occupation, as opposed to the wider problem of Zionism and settler colonialism. In Denver, many are captivated by rhetoric like that of Gilad Atzmon, whose alliance with prominent neo-Nazis such as David Duke, Trevor LaBonte, and Ken O'Keefe is often hidden behind the smokescreen of his opposition to the state of Israel. (Warning: the links are very hateful, but provided as examples of what we wish to condemn). His targeting of our own allies in the Palestine solidarity community such as Ali Abunimah, Noam Chomsky, and Miko Peled are volatile and counter-productive to finding peace in Israel/Palestine.

This rhetoric and politics are not to be tolerated. When anti-Semitism infiltrates Palestine solidarity circles, it negatively impacts us as Jews. It is a clear form of racism that should be challenged at all times.

Atzmon and anti-Semitism in the Palestine solidarity community are a distraction from the issue at hand, namely the occupation of Palestine by Israel. We want to shift the conversation away from solely anti-Semitism. The more pressing conversation we want to have is one that recognizes that the anti-Arab racism and Islamophobia that sustains the occupation of Palestine comes from the same mindset as traditional anti-Semitism.

It is important for us to recognize as Jews that we are all affected by Israel’s actions. Israel falsely claims to represent us as Jews. The Israeli Law of Return gives us the right to move to Israel and live anywhere we want. Some of the same apartments that Diaspora Jews could be buying or renting in Palestine are built on top of the same land that is confiscated from the indigenous people of Palestine: in the Jerusalem area and the West Bank. Resentment of Diaspora Jews for the benefits we receive is warranted, and comes from a legitimate place of rage, because these benefits come at the expense of the Palestinian people.

Our leaders, and much of our community, have failed us by not speaking out against the injustices being done in our name. They often have a stronghold on Jewish public opinion. Whatever anti-Semitism we encounter within our movements obscures our role as ordinary Jews who oppose Zionism and the failures of these institutions. Given that Palestinians are always presumed to be anti-Semitic by US and Israeli propaganda, we do not need white Americans who claim to be members of our ranks reinforcing these false claims.

Ultimately, anti-Semitic rhetoric makes our movement hypocritical. It prevents us from standing up for those victimized by anti-black racism in the wake of the deaths of Mike Brown, Eric Garner, Freddie Gray, and far too many more. It prevents us from fighting for justice for poor people and people of color in Denver being pushed out by increasing gentrification. It prevents us from seeking justice for Ryan Ronquillo and Jessica Hernandez, who were killed by the police here in Denver. It prevents us from challenging the racism under which our world has been held captive for the last 500 years of human history. Therefore, we officially condemn statements of Gilad Atzmon and others that seek to portray Jews as an inherently flawed group of people."

Naming and Shaming – The List Of Israel’s Agents Within British Politics

By Gilad Atzmon

Ahead of Election Day tomorrow, the ultra Zionist www.webelieveinisrael.org.uk published its list of Sabbos Goyim operating within British politics.

“With Polling Day in the General Election this Thursday, here is a list of all the parliamentary candidates who have sent positive replies to the Fairness for Israel Charter,” the Zionist outlet informed its followers.

Our British candidates agree, for example that, “boycotts against Israel in any sphere must be opposed.”  The shameless British parliamentary candidates listed below are willing to sacrifice freedom of expression to please their paymasters; agreeing that the “democratic State of Israel is not an ‘apartheid state’ and must not be described as one.”  The Zionist outlet explains;  “It is noted that every (Israeli) citizen has the right to vote and discrimination based on race, religion or sexuality is illegal.” But We Believe In Israel fails to mention a basic crucial fact. Millions of indigenous Palestinians living within areas controlled by Israel and subject to Israeli oppression are not entitled to be citizens let alone vote. And why? Because they are not ‘racially’ qualified.

This extensive list reveals that British politics is in urgent need of a major overhaul. It must cleanse itself of the corrosive influence of a very dangerous foreign Lobby. The list reveals that Zionist corruption has planted its roots in pretty much every British parliamentary party. This fact alone may help to explain why Brits have lost interest in their politics and do not believe their political parties.  No matter who you vote for, at the end of the day, it is the Jewish Lobby that calls the shots.

Controversial author, master jazz artist and professional troublemaker Gilad Atzmon will discuss his latest book, A to Zion, the definitive Israeli Lexicon (co-authored with Enzo Apicella), and give a talk on the Palestinian "Right of Return,"  Atzmon's detractors call him a "racist" while others rally to his defense. Find out who Gilad Atzmon is with this rare L.A. appearance, and read his work online.

The Right Of Return is the core of the Palestinian cause. It positions the Nakba and the suffering of refugees as the primary issue, places Gaza into historical context and highlights the gross injustices perpetuated and sustained by Israeli politics since 1948. It clearly illuminates the racist nature of the Jewish state and its immigration laws. The Right Of Return offers a clear course of action that unites Palestinians in the region and the Diaspora but it evokes fear amongst Israelis, Zionists and Jewish anti-Zionists.

Since the early 2000s there has been a surge in Jewish support for Palestine and the Palestinian people. This support has been welcome but it came with a price; the call for the Right Of Return has been gradually diluted by alternative terminology designed to appeal to the Jewish progressive crowd.

In this talk, I will elaborate on the terminological shift that left the Palestinian people and their cause behind. I will suggest that each of the terms introduced into the discourse in the last two decades functioned primarily to legitimize Israel and appeal to the Jewish Left crowd. The reality is grim; instead of solidarity with the victims, the movement has morphed into an attempt to appease the oppressor. This unfortunate shift may explain why the solidarity movement has achieved so little for the Palestinians. It is possible that it wasn't supposed to achieve much in the first place.

Press TV: UK politics dominated by Israel lobbyists

http://www.presstv.ir/

Press TV has conducted an interview with Gilad Atzmon, a musician, author and political commentator in London, about a Jewish community’s recent criticism of Britain’s “complicity” in Israeli war crimes.

The following is a rough transcription of the interview.

Press TV: Numerous rights bodies and rights groups have criticized the UK’s arms trade with Israel, now a Jewish community in the UK is also pitching in on the calls of condemnation. Give us your thoughts.

Atzmon: Yes, it is about time that the Jews say something. We learned from Jewish news here and from British news that the vast majority of Jews in this country do support Israel, actually support Netanyahu, actually do not support Miliband, they support Cameron and now we understand why, because the conservative government was indeed very supportive of Israel and actually complicit in the Israeli crimes.

What I find out slightly strange is that this Jewish body - Jews for Justice in Palestine - tried to avoid the core of the problem and the core of the problem is the fact that the British foreign affairs is dominated by the Jewish lobby. We have a very powerful lobby we call the Conservative Friends of Israel, 80 percent of the British conservative MPs are members of this club and this is the problem.

We have to target the core issue and this is the power of the Jewish lobby and it is here, it is in America, it is in France and it is very dangerous for world peace and it is also very dangerous for British Jews.

Press TV: Mr. Atzmon, you speak of the power and influence of the Zionist and Jewish lobbies in the United States, France and Britain. My question is how can this status quo change? And by changing the situation, I mean first of all the Israelis violating and defying international law on a daily basis and coupled with that, those very countries, the supporters and allies of Israel continue to support these actions or at least turn a blind eye to what is taking place.

Atzmon: I am not an optimist; I am as you mentioned yourself a commentator. I believe that the ability to “call a spade a spade” is the remedy of the situation. The ability to talk about the Jewish lobby and its impact on British politics would eventually resolve the situation because at the moment, if those who oppose this lobby - like this Jewish group - and support Palestine - and I obviously respect their call… even they tried to avoid talking about this issue.

So as long as we are trying to spin around things, we are not going to get them any farther and the situation will get more volatile and eventually very, very dangerous.
