These games are know for beautiful cinematic and storytelling, but I always wanted a little more. I wanted to know what happened if a different choice could have been made or what happened after the game ended. The main games behind this desire were Tales of Symphonia, Wild Arms and Star Ocean.

The second piece involves where the characters and personalities came from. While characters like Presea and Peppita from the games played their art, most were from anime's. Here is where I am going to date myself a bit. Perhaps my first influence would be Battle Athletes, specifically Tarnya. If i had to guess, she is the originator to Eve in my book. I would put Slayers high on the list as well. I loved Lina Inverse. More recently, Akame ga Kill, Gosick, Toradora, Dokkoida and maybe even a little World Conquest Zvezda.
One final one, that I had not thought about until you asked the question, but helps explain the addition of sci-elements, is Robotech. Robotech was my first anime, though i did not even know that is what it was at the time.

I had another thought and felt I should amend this. There were several American shows that started my leanings towards Neko's long before I found them in anime and manga's. I have to give some credit to Tale Spin and the Rescue Rangers here for introducing me to anthropomorphic creatures (furries) before I knew that was a thing.

Thanks for asking and I hope you enjoyed the answer.
