Tarak Ghosh is a science fiction novelist who writes for both adults and teenagers. But it is his aviation riddles, such as Flight 73, Silent Cockpit, and Flight 648, that he is best known for. In addition to the aviation mystery, he also penned a couple of Romantic fictions and several occult fantasies. He works as a criminal reporter, a film director, and the editor of an English news website.
His 26 years in journalism have provided him with a broad foundation from which to approach a variety of fiction. He loves to raise his voice against any cruelty to women. He believes in women's empowerment and has made many short feature films based on women's empowerment. His title, "I Am Suzan," edited by Tony Johnson, is a fictional story that ad

I am currently working on my new novel "Diary Of A Journalist"

“Diary Of A Journalist” is a well planned fiction that reveals the 'naked double dealings' of administration, society and media. The role of human emotions, the role of political persons, the role of media, the role of those people who protect the rapist and how they affect the civil society are discussed here. It is the story of protecting the sense of values of a journalist and protecting the rights of women.

Tarak Ghosh INTERVIEW
Author Hunter S.Jones

Interviewed by Tarak Ghosh

1. Music is your passion, and writing is your profession, do you think they are completing each other?
Yes, yes I do. Thank you for asking such a fantastic question. So many books have been inspired by music, and so many musicians have been influenced by a book they have read or by a writer.

2. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
Writing and reading have always been my sanctuary.

3. Is it a call from the deepest corner of your own heart or inspired by anyone?
Writing is the call from my heart. My heart’s desire is to write something that other’s wish to read.

4. As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?
Write.

5. Is there any particular author or book that influenced you in any way either growing up or as an adult?
Mother gave my copies of Gone With The Wind and Sonnets from the Portuguese before I was 10 years old. So, those two books have influenced me greatly.

6. Are there certain characters you would like to go back to, or is there a theme or idea you’d love to work with?
I’m greatly enjoying the characters from September Ends and September Again. They constantly delight me with their emotions and changes. My fans seem to like the characters from the September Stories-especially Jack O. Savage, and Pete Hendrix. They like Dallas Fortune and the crazy zombies from my first book-especially my zombies. At some point I will have to write about Pierre von Minzle and Mary Montague again.

7. Give us an insight into your main characters. What does she/he do that is so special? How did you get the idea?
The three main characters from the September Stories are Liz Snow, Pete Hendrix & Jack O. Savage. Liz and Pete meet and fall in love, but the timing is all wrong. Jack O. Savage is The Poet, a modern day rock star with words. I developed the concept with an anonymous English poet. We took his poetry and developed the characters and storyline. We were going to write one book, September Ends, but the end of the book lead us to book two, September Again. We are planning to write one final book in the series, which will be released later this year or in early 2015.

8. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
The art form I create when writing is much more interesting than anything you will ever know or learn about me. However, since you ask, I have lived in Tennessee and Georgia my entire life, except for one “lost summer” spent in Los Angeles. My first published stories were for a local underground rock publication in Nashville. Since then, I have published articles on music, fashion, art, travel and history.

9. Can you describe your writing process? Is there a specific ritual you follow?
I have a Muse that is very active. There is no set ritual for me, just pens and notepads in every room and the iPhone close by in case I have an idea or concept zip through my imagination.

10. As a reader, what is your opinion about 'September Ends'?
Thank you for asking. There are two chapters in that book which make me cry every time I read them. Strangely, I wrote these chapters and have no idea why they affect me in such a way.

11. As a writer, what sociological problem hurts you most?
As a writer and as a member of the human race, I am most concerned with the lack of apathy people have toward the feelings of others. I find it appalling.

12. What are your ambitions for your writing career?
I want the fairy tale ending.

13. What genre are your books?
All my works are fiction. I’ve published romance, contemporary short stories, eroto-steampunk, erotic romance and erotica. I never know what story will capture my imagination next.

14. What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
What I find the most surprising is that the characters almost never do what you plan on them doing. They take twists and turns that are a complete surprise.

15. What has been the toughest criticism given to you as an author? What has been the best compliment?
Not everyone is going to love you, but with a lifetime in sales and marketing, I understand this. Most criticism is justified and some is simply hateful. I believe readers are smart enough to know the difference. The greatest compliment I have ever received or will ever receive is when someone finds my work original. As an artist, there is no greater statement that can be made about your work, is there?

16. 'Romance in fiction' and 'Romance in real life', are they same? What's your opnion?
Romance in fiction is to save us from the lack of romance in real life.Thank you for featuring me today! Special thanks to everyone who has read and reviewed my stories! I encourage everyone to download an indie artist’s music or book instead of buying that disposable cup of coffee or tea. That cup will go into a landfill. Someone’s art will change your life. Cheers!
