My Pen is my rocket into space and my mind is the galaxy, full of fantastic and amazing wonders. When I write, magical things happen.

I own only what I need - a handful of pens, a pack of pencils, one sharpener and a box of rubbers. I also part own a kind loving old dog called Benji, two bouncy Chinchilla's called Chilli and Snowball - they are brothers, and a female hamster called Bubbles. What more could a man desire. I am also happily married and I have a wonderfully creative daughter.

In 2009 I took a bold step into the unknown. I had no idea what would happen, or where it would take me... I stepped into the magical realm of Creative Writing. I stood in awe.

Having only ever read (through choice) just three books, Roald Dahl's Charlie and My Pen is my rocket into space and my mind is the galaxy, full of fantastic and amazing wonders. When I write, magical things happen.

Having only ever read (through choice) just three books, Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Glass Elevator and George's Marvellous Medicine, in my early years, I was very much a stranger to books. In my mid 30's I started to read more books. It all began with J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. I read all seven novels, and I very much enjoyed them. What followed was a love for books and a passion to write.

By my late 30's I was a member of three creative writing groups. I met many fantastic creative people and got a true understanding of how to achieve a piece of mastery.

From my bursting mind to the blank canvas that I write upon. Words rushed out like a raging river. A thirst, hunger and passion had exploded within. I was a wild wolf, galloping through the tall swaying letters. A forest full of words. This literary world was my new home. I could finally be free to dance amongst my wondrous dreams. Dreams a thirsty audience want to read. A purpose. A meaning. A desire.

I chose the 1st of August 2014, to officially launch my career within the literary world as a children's Author. The book was called 'Totally Amazing Spider Tales'. A fantastic anthology featuring 8 short spider stories, by 8 amazing Authors. My short story was called 'It Came From Afar'.

As for the future, I am currently working with another Author called S.W. Best, on an apocalyptic series of books called 'The Blake Summers Saga'. The story is set in the coming future, based in the English city of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (18 rated novels). I am also working on a collection of my own children's illustration books, and also project 'Whirlwind', a children's book series of which I started work on in 2009. ...more

Chores Can Be Fun

CHORES CAN BE FUN

Today is not a day for writing, it is a day for cleaning. However considering cleaning up can make you groan and slump into the sofa. So why not bring some fun into gettin those chores done? For me I surprised my wife by writing down all the chores on little pieces of paper, mixed in some fun, and romantic things as well, like kissing and hugging, then added them all into a bowl.
