Mark Allen graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana with a degree in Journalism, and graduated with honors from The John Marshall School of Law in Chicago. A former journalist, and an attorney, Six Months of September is his first novel. He is already hard at work on the second book in his Duncan Walsh detective series. He is a lifelong fan of the works of Robert B. Parker, John D. MacDonald, and Scott Turow, and Allen is excited to publish his first mystery.

Allen currently lives in the Chicago suburbs with his wife and son.
