Good Friends Are Hard to Find | Grauwelt Short Story #3

Ghesdalt took a deep breath and held it. He looked over the tip of his weapon, past the huddled pine trees surrounding him, and tried his best to align the tip of the harpoon with his target.


A lone boar rustled through a patch of brown grass growing up through the snow. The animal didn’t seem to notice Ghesdalt standing, propped with his right side against a tree, just forty paces away.


Ghesdalt kept still. He didn’t
