Ghost Town
Gary Diamond has a new bestseller on the way—“Ghost Town,” which will be released towards the middle of the year. Fresh off the back of a run of acclaimed novels, and the great success of “The Sons of Elias Stirling,” the huge success he penned with super-seller C. Wayne Winkle, he now looks to thrill readers with a tale of the West that should keep them flipping pages, wishing for more, and asking for the manuscript to be twice or three times as long.
When Gary Diamond set out to write “Ghost Town,” he wanted to write something unique but something that would excite the Western audience—“Ghost Town” is his best work to date, and some readers might be wondering what he will come up with next. I know he has us in suspense.
What Is “Ghost Town” About?
The story starts with Bertram Wright, a politician who has ambitions of becoming the next president. He undertakes a public relations journey by stagecoach with his family from Richmond to San Antonio. Although escorted by a cavalry troop, the journey is extremely dangerous, particularly as they could travel through Apache Indian country where there had recently been a significant uprising. The journey is not only clouded in danger, but there are secrets, affairs, and corruption within the family and Bertram Wright's staff. There is something very suspicious going on.
At the same time, Reno Cassidy, a fast gun who was once a friend of Marshal Jake Kramer, finds himself in the marshal's jail, accused of murder. The victim, Tyrone McClintock, a much-loved saloon bartender, owed Reno money, and there are witnesses to say that Cassidy killed him when Tyrone didn't pay him the money he was due. Reno Cassidy denies this, but a hateful mob appears outside the jail demanding Cassidy should be hung. The marshal decides it would be best to get Reno out of town and be tried somewhere else. So with the help of his estranged daughter and his loyal deputy, that's what they do.
As the marshal leads them out of town on their way to a secret location where the hope is that Reno will face a fair trial, the subject of Pueblo Embrujado comes up.
Pueblo Embrujado is what the Mexicans call the town that was formally known as Cimarron Pass. The Apache have their own name for it. Most people don't talk about it, because they are scared to call it by name. No one talks about Pueblo Embrujado because it scares them.
What happened at Pueblo Embrujado?.
No one knows. One day everyone in Cimarron Pass just disappeared. It was a vibrant well-populated town and the next day, everyone had vanished.
But where did they go?
When the Apache attack the stagecoach and military escort for politician Bertram Wright, Marshal Jake Kramer, Reno Cassidy, the deputy, and Kelly Kramer, the marshal's daughter, try to help them.
A chase develops but somehow they all find the Ghost Town known as Pueblo Embrujado. They hide out in the town. The Apache are too scared to go in after them. They say there are evil spirits within the town. But they wait outside, cutting off all exits, waiting to starve them out.
While everyone is cooped up inside Pueblo Embrujado, people are slowly being killed.
Is it the supernatural?
Marshal Jake Kramer has to investigate.
If the Apache doesn't get them, someone or something in the Ghost Town might.

Harbinger Island
So far I have been pleased with the sales, particularly on Kindle, of Harbinger Island, my English detective series, and very happy with the reviews.
Also 'Harbinger Island', seems to have recreated interest in my first two Western novels, in the 'Parthena' series.
I now also have an authors page.

The second book in the Detective James Copperfield series, will be out and available on Amazon shortly and I am in the process of writing another Western novel and book three of the Copperfield series. Well if nothing else, it keeps me busy.

A more affordable price
Parthena
I have taken advice from some very helpful Goodreads members and have reduced the price of my novel, Parthena, to just $2.99. So far this price reduction has already increased sales and I look forward to seeing the reviews.
I may be 65 in years, but I am still new to the publishing part of writing and all the advice and comments I have been given has been so helpful, that I will take them all on board and incorporate many for my next novel, which I hope to have available before the end of the year.
