My mom is crazy. My dad was weird. And then I born kinda crazy and kinda weird. I like that!

I was drawn to both writing and drawing as a child, but as I got older, I seemed to gravitate more toward writing. I'm a super lazy guy, so writing just seems to be more instantly gratifying. Drawing is a labor of love, and I can respect that. So have at it, all you drawers out there. I'll just draw with words and laugh at my own jokes. BAHAHA DRAW WITH WORDS!

I have a couple other pet projects I want to get to in due time, but my main baby by far is the Baron Syndicate. If you somehow don't know what that is, it's an overarching book series written by my best friend Neil Miller and myself. Neil is way more handsome than I, but if you ever told him th

Bouncing ideas off of him helps about 99% of the time because I have issues with getting lost in the fine details and Neil is very handy for keeping my mind on track. Sometimes he'll have a different vision for the direction the story is going in, and during those times that we can't reach a constructive middle ground I will also consult Super Editor Sean for a second opinion. From there, Neil and I can always reach an agreement on things, even though it might take an hour of bickering to get there.

Another trick I use, which is handy when neither Neil nor Sean are available is to just stop writing. I walk away and ignore that stupid book like it's my wife asking me to take out the trash. Except I listen to my wife, because unlike that stupid book, my wife is more than capable of beating me up. The book can only beat me up on occasion, and it has to be lucky.(less)

Awesome Con! Part 1: Final Preparations

So after getting completely drowned in work, school, and convention-related things, I've finally rediscovered the blog here on Goodreads! I suppose this is as good a place as any to list an account of my amazing, crazy adventure that was Awesome Con! And I don't mean anything like "Oh, it was so amazing, I met so many people, I saw so many things", I mean more like "nothing is going according to p Read more of this blog post »
