Hi Rosie thank you for the question.
I was brought up on Enid Blyton and I loved Lewis Caroll's Alice in wonderland.
Then when I found Dr Suess books, I was hooked.
I then had a phase where I was at my local library which was just down the road from me every day, and went through a lot of the books they had at the time. My first book that was read out loud at school that got me hooked was 'stig of the dump'. I really loved it, then went through a phase of Roald Dahl, and Charlie and the chocolate factory. I always wanted to write a book like Charlie and the chocolate factory :)
Thank you so much for your question, have a lovely day.

Take up another hobby or get busy doing anything, something monotonous like washing the dishes. You will find ideas will pop into your head when you are relaxed out for a walk or shopping, rather than when you try to summon ideas to you that moment. Keep a pen and paper/notebook handy at all times. You can never have enough pens. Keep them all around the home too. (less)
