Mary T Kincaid grew up working off the library fines from the overdue library books shuffled under her bed during her reading escapes. She wants to share the rich inner life that these characters gave her childhood. Reading fantasy and other fiction introduces the idea that imagination can solve problems. The environment we live in is facing many problems and she believes that young people using their imagination can find solutions for them. She presents the Penthiads, muses to mankind, as everyone searches for solutions to the difficulties, we all face.
