For me, writing is a kind of cathartic compulsion. A compulsion I fell in love with decades ago. I jotted down the notes for my very first story on a napkin when I was ten years old having family dinner at a Chinese restaurant. It was there I began to write and I simply never stopped.

As a kid I was terrified of the dark, horror stories and horror movies but I always subjected myself to the sources of my fear. Of course, I wrote about them. And the more I wrote the less afraid I became. One day I noticed that I had actually written away my fear of the dark. Not so strange that I usually end up creating stories that mix the bizarre and fantastic with the dark aspects of human nature.
