Award-winning Author R Weir lives in the Mile-High City with his family, where the Rocky Mountain High isn't always achieved with an herbal substance. When not glued to the computer, he relaxes by enjoying the outdoors and traveling in his motorhome. His writing delves into genres with gritty investigators exploring mystery, crime, suspense, and thrills, with involved plots and unexpected twists. Featuring former US Marshal Hunter Divine, a dire, determined man searching for salvation in his broken life. Private eye Jarvis Mann is tough and snarky, with as many faults as virtues. And his newest series featuring retired police officer Donnie Steel and his K-9 companion, Kogel. Characters exhibiting traces of his sense of humor, though he’s n ...more

It was an outlet for my emotions at the time, good and bad. Then when I moved to Colorado in the early 80's I wrote three novels, in the Thriller genre, which were never published. That was my first foray into writing a novel. Later I wrote my first short story "The Case of the Missing Bubble Gum Card" which I later updated and was my first indie published work last year. I really liked my PI character Jarvis Mann and wrote "Tracking A Shadow" and I'm hopefully slowly building a following. The follow-up "Twice As Fatal" should be out towards the end of May. Thanks for reaching out!(less)

Website Migration Challenges

Hello everyone. I wanted to start by apologizing for the duplicate newsletter, which went out on April 22nd. I moved the RWeir.net website over to my new webhost, Hostinger, and my newsletter sending application, Mailerlite, thought it was a new newsletter and emailed it. This was something I thought about, but neglected to turn off the automatic send function. Live and learn. I did get a fantasti

Hello Sophia,
If you are interested you can check out my books, even if they aren't what you normally read. The first short story, The Case of the Missing Bubble Gum Card is free on Amazon. And if you sign-up for my newsletter I will send you a free ebook for the first novel in the series Tracking A Shadow. That way you can try them out for free and see if you want to continue the series. There are currently 7 books in all. Thanks so much and have a wonderful evening.

message 9: by R.

R. Weir Nothing wrong with that. Do you have Tracking A Shadow the book before it? If not I'd be happy to send you a paperback of it. I'll even sign it for you. Just let me know. Thanks again.

message 8: by Deb

Deb Rhodes I got it in paperback from Amazon. I don't really care for ebooks, guess I'm too old-fashioned.

message 7: by R.

R. Weir Wow thank you. Not many buy physical books anymore. Where did you buy it from?

message 6: by Deb

Deb Rhodes I'll be sure to let you know. I ordered it in paperback; I think it will be arriving in about a week.

message 5: by R.

R. Weir Thanks Deb. I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of it.

message 4: by Deb

Deb Rhodes I've finally ordered a copy of your latest book. I've been wanting to do that ever since I first heard about it. I do so love a good mystery!

Michael Murphy Thanks for connecting on Goodreads. Best of success with your writing. Hope you'll add my Prohibition-era mystery, The Yankee Club, to your to read list. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
