Update
Most of you are here for Veracity. Many of you are here as friends. Whichever you are, I want to thank you for your patience and support!
So many things have happened in the years since I wrote (and then took down) Veracity.
Moves, illnesses, deaths, births, graduations, divorce . . . I've lost and gained so much, and ultimately, my world has become a very different place.
Currently, I am enrolled in a MFA program for creative writing, and am working hard to hone my skill in order to be absolutely sure these new books are everything I want them to be.
They are still coming — I promise — and I am so excited for how they are developing. There are ten of them total!
Those of you who purchased copies of the original Veracity will receive free copies of the first book when it launches. And don't lose your copy of Veracity if you have one. There are very few in circulation.
Speaking of divorce . . . my name is changing, and I will be moving to a new goodreads account under the name Lindsey Jones.
I want to leave this account as it is as a place for Veracity fans to turn to (I still get emails nearly a decade later!) but all new updates and stories will be tied to the new account.
I will post a link when that account is live and I hope to see you all there!

The Quest for Veracity

Q: Where I can I find Veracity?
As of now, Veracity is not available to read or purchase. The book, in its original form, may be available after the rewrite is fully released (to avoid potential spoilers).
Q: Why did you take Veracity down?
I wrote Veracity in a frenzy. I loved this book. I poured all of my free time into writing it and posting it on Wattpad. It eventually became featured, got reads from all over the world, and started getting good reviews on both GoodReads and Amazon where I had released it as a Kindle e-book. There was a moment (and I'm not sure why) that I fell out of love with it. I won't get into the details, but so much of it suddenly didn't seem to fit who I wanted to be as a writer. I took the book down and didn't touch it for a long, long time.
I have heard that this is normal for an author's first real work, but it was devastating to suddenly have no love for something that had dominated my thoughts for a year. I kept coming back to it hoping that I would reconnect with it . . . but I never did.
Q: Are the new books straight rewrites?
Not so much. I went through Veracity and I chopped it to bits, only keeping the parts and characters I absolutely loved. I then went and created an entirely new world, one with a rich history and mythology. I took the characters, gave them more vibrant personalities, backstories, and took the time to discover their hopes, dreams, and fears. The plot was stripped down to only the very best concepts and ideas. What was once Veracity became something new — which spawned several "spin-off" stories set in the same universe. Is it a straight rewrite? No. Is it even the same book? Well, sort of. If you read the original Veracity you will see the bones of it in there, no question . . . but the story has become something new.
