NOTE: In October 2014 I changed my pen name from Alexis Adare to Olivia Devon, to avoid confusion with another author. In January 2015 I changed the name of my Becoming Jane series to A Little Bit Broken.

So I'm sure that played some part in inspiring the character of The Professor himself. A smart, confident guy getting flustered is always sexy.

Jane is inspired by several burlesque dancers I've known over the years. Every one of them was educated, intelligent and very much a feminist. Of course the stereotype of that profession is quite the opposite. Which is a shame. (less)
