Known as the "cardiologist by day, novelist by night," James Vitarius began his writing career when his medical research funding dried up. Along with the funding, he lost a creative outlet, so James turned to his childhood dream of becoming a novelist.
Trained in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Molecular Biology in some of the finest medical institutions in New York City, James still practices cardiology full-time. He lives in Northern New Jersey and has lived in the Garden State most of his life. In addition to writing and doctoring, James enjoys sports, cooking, music, and visiting the Jersey Shore.

David Lee Roth
“This must be just like livin' in paradise.”
David Lee Roth

Washington Irving
“There is a sacredness in tears. They are not a mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition and of unspeakable love.”
Washington Irving

Charles Darwin
“If I had my life to live over again, I would have made a rule to read some poetry and listen to some music at least once every week.”
Charles Darwin, The Autobiography of Charles Darwin, 1809–82

Dave Mustaine
“David Gilmour can do more with one note than most other guitar players can do with the whole fretboard”
Dave Mustaine

Melody Beattie
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
Melody Beattie
