Matthew Blakeway studied philosophy, mathematics and formal logic. He then pursued a career in investment banking where he structured and engineered financial derivatives and complex financing mechanisms. In finance there is no copyright and therefore no concept of plagiarism, and it is normal for everyone to reverse engineer their competitors’ products. After twenty years of analysing and manipulating highly abstract conceptual frameworks, he realised that a human was an abstract mechanism that could be reverse engineered. The Logic of Self-Destruction is the culmination of that journey of discovery.
