Heather Gallagher is a children’s writer who lives by the sea in regional Victoria. She has a passion for quirky stories. Her first book, Ferret on the Loose, was published in 2013 and was recently listed on the Victorian Premier’s Reading Challenge. Her picture book Happy Pants – Why is Mummy so sad? was published in 2014. It is a heartfelt story about a boy grappling with his Mum’s post-natal depression. She has just released her second picture book Scaredy Cat with New Frontier Publishing. It's about a little girl searching for her Scaredy Cat (readers can help her look in each spread).
Heather’s stories for children have also appeared in black dog books Short & Scary anthology and Explore magazine.
