Don Luis Zavala has worn many hats before he brought to the world his first published novel, Oh My Holy Phone. Although writing was one of his earliest passions, he acquired an interest for filmmaking and television production, both whcih allowed him to seek work as producer and writer of on-air TV promos, news segments, gossip shows, and a documentary. During adolescence, Zavala participated in many of his high school’s storytelling contests and pursued his college education concentrating on film and TV screenwriting. Shortly after releasing Oh My Holy Phone, he continued his writing venture publishing short stories and two novels: The Santa Claus Kidnap and Secrets.

“Vincent knew he was dying. A horrendous fever overwhelmed him with intolerable pain throughout many sleepless hours. It came as a result of a malaria epidemic that erupted in his hometown during early nineteenth century Europe. The disease spread so fast, physicians had to ration their stocks of quinine only to use it on patients who weren’t declared “hopeless”. Vincent was one of the unlucky ones. Speculating his time on Earth may be short, he requested spiritual guidance, even if he wasn’t a faithful man, nor did he believe in forgiveness. He appealed to the Church as a “just in case” like many other petrified atheists.”
