Light Heart of the Dark

Hello.

I would like to introduce my new work Light Heart of the Dark.

As was briefly mentioned in the books blog, I have served 15 years frontline in policing. Emergency response to be precise.
In my time, I have seen allot of things that are difficult to process, maybe I will specifically write about those things one day.

I consider this work I have done, a work for those who have served, not exclusively, however.
That said I dedicate it to you, in whatever capacity you have served, soldier, police, fire, ambo, nurse, doctor and many more.

We may not be our best all the time, but we are often the light in the darkness.

So, God bless you all.

It is hard to not take with you a piece of the sadness that you see and in so doing lose a piece of yourself to it.

It would mean a great deal to me if this work reached the people who appreciate it. In any case, it is what I did to understand the terrors that often surrounded me.

I also write it for those who have been in war, although I have not, I have seen how my home country has been ripped apart and how life means so little there.
I empathise with you because I love you. I too am tired of fighting every day, for the last 15 years.
It is something like a war, you never get to come home from, because it is home, its outside your door.
Not that city streets compare to an actual warzone, relatively speaking, I hope you understand my meaning.

Peace be with you all.
Thats it for today.
