Grayson Smith was born in Canada, but attended a boarding school in Germany for 11 years before moving back to obtain a degree in criminology from Simon Fraser University. Throughout his school years, Grayson wrote stories when he should have been paying attention in class. Grayson thoroughly enjoys his full-time job as a police officer. Writing stories for the children in his life is the perfect way for Grayson to express the playfulness and mischief that simmers beneath his well-practiced outer layer of respectability. When he's not writing or driving around in a police car, Grayson works with other authors and illustrators to produce children's literature and picture books at an independent small press, Peppermint Toast Publishing. ...more
