This meant that writing the story was very inspired by the artwork. Since anxiety is growing ever more prevalent with our kids, and kids with anxiety often fly under the radar as needing help, I really wanted to develop a book that could could be a resource to prevent problematic anxious thinking, instead of just treating it once it becomes a huge problem. I wanted to help kids not only to understand that they are not alone in their feelings, but also to learn self compassionate self talk and optimistic thinking skills.(less)
