Grant W. Fletcher lives in Nashville, TN and is a graduate of the University of the South at Sewanee. The concept of the story for Life Over Death was inspired by the lyrics of the wonderfully talented songwriter Holly Williams. Her song "Without Jesus Here With Me" provided the inspiration for the book.

"I love writing but do an enormous amount of it for my job. So, finding time to write fiction (instead of proposals) has been a challenge. I finally found a story that I thought I could complete and spent many a nights after work in a hotel room plotting out the storyline. This book is a totally new concept according to several readers. She has a line in her song about exchanging her life to save a child, but "that's not part of the master plan". I took that line and developed a concept of being able to give 10 miracles but you had to also choose 10 deaths so there was a balance. The story took off from there. (less)

If there is a heaven...

Read, see, or hear the news these days and its enough to depress the most optimistic person. I started thinking about “what if” scenarios happening in our world and it sounded way too much like “give me world peace and everything will be fine”.
