David Wighton is a retired educator who enjoys writing youth novels when he's not on a basketball court coaching middle-school girls. The books in his Wilizy series peek at how people lived after the word's governments collapsed in the chaos that followed the catastrophic rise in ocean levels and the disappearance of the world's last deposits of oil.

In the Wilizy Series, I write about a family of superheroes. The series starts with two characters who have no family. An aboriginal family adopts them in the second book. From that point, the family keeps adopting new members, all with unique skills/powers and all with different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
