Kevin L. Brooks grew up in north central Texas. He grew up reading Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan series, Ian Fleming's James Bond, and Louis L'Amour. Along with a healthy dose of comic books, especially Batman, these ingredients helped shape the course of his life to come. He went on to attend college at Texas Tech University and Lubbock Christian University. After graduating, Kevin entered the business world working for a Financial Services company. Several years later, in 1996 he left that company and opened his own successful firm, Brooks Financial Services. In his spare time, Kevin finds time for his passions as an outdoor enthusiast.
