What was your purpose in writing 'The Corner Office'? What does it mean?

However, I also believe that…moreSeveral readers have asked me the meaning and purpose of the book. I had an idea and purpose in mind as I wrote the book. However, I also believe that I, or the author, shouldn't necessarily dictate how the book is interpreted. So I leave a lot to reader’s imagination and let them draw their own meaning and conclusion. To answer the question, for me the book was about ‘The Corner Office’ in all of us. The ego that interprets data, provides perspective, analyses and draws conclusion. This is demonstrated by two opposing self-justified and validated arguments that are in conflict with each other. It is also prevalent in most of the characters point-of-view, the Company itself and how the story plays out. As for the ending, a conclusion that most readers were looking for would have defeated the very purpose of the book. (less)
