Jonathan Crown is the pen name of the author and journalist Christian Kämmerling. in 1990 he joined the staff at SZ-Magazine, together with Ulf Poschardt he worked hard to take over the editorial office in 1996. In 2000 Kämmerling left the magazine.

He has since worked for multiple, owned or founded magazines in Europe, including: Die Weltwoche, Enzo and FAZ magazine. He has been the media consultant for the Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz. Kämmerling is a member of the Art Directors Club and jury member of the Lead Academy. Since 2005 Kämmerling has been the owner and managing director of the creative agency Contrix GmbH in Hergiswil (Switzerland) and advises leading business enterprises.
