My advice to anyone who is a writer, published or not. Self Publish. Buy all your own ISBN numbers. Pay a professional editor (after friends and family have done their editing). Pay for a professional cover. Short on cash? Raise the money on Kickstarter. Amazon's Createspace and Kindle has the best customer service I have ever come across in my life. Lulu has "normal, slow" customer service. But either one will publish your book for FREE. Yes FREE. If you can hit the SAVE button (to a PDF file for your physical book, and to an HTML file for your eBooks) you can do it. So as of today, this very moment, there is nothing, no obstacle at all, to publishing your Great America Novel, your short stories, your poems, your Romance Novel, your children's book, your sexual fantasy book, whatever. Just YOU. I find this an absolutely magical fact. It is the time of the miraculous. Now relax, and go do it.
